We just came from Garza Blanca in Puerto Vallarta. I am not sure I would be back. The room was 3403B beautiful, the beach excellent, the food was nice, however, after five days you get tired. The beverage includes wine from Italy, Chile, etc. Mexican drinks very creative (Mango's margarita, cucumber's margarita, strawberry's margarita, and on, and on). I loved the waiters, the front desk people. Our problem started with a wedding that brought at once around 150 guests and they closed the main restaurant. We were excited about having our drink in the bar and after that , as always, few steps into the restaurant. The door was closed at 6 P.M. (our favorite time) and a lady said that would open at 7P.M. .We wait but at 7 P.M. they said that the restaurant was having a private party for the wedding on that Thursday, and after the manager bad attitude , the chef came and asked us to accept the menu of Thanksgiving , what we declined, and he offered to serve the same menu in the other restaurant. We had no choice. Besides, the pool was crowded and the food bad because they couldn't handle an event like that and treat the guests that came to enjoy the place as they deserved. The gym had two treadmills , one elliptical, on stationary bike. The have under construction part of the resort by the mountain (with ocean view) and a club. I like better the building close to the each. They are It's very expensive , and we wish we had better experience in our last night. Before book make sure they are not going to have any event. It's nice , we recommend with this restriction.

Room Tip: Make sure they are not going to have any event. Everybody comes to the main poor by the beach and ge...

We've been at the Garza Blanca for one week now, with one more week to go. We arrived last Saturday evening and leave next Saturday. First impressions were very good. Friendly/professional staff, beautiful property and a very nice room. (We elected for the 2 BR panoramic suite in Building 4.)

Tired from the trip, we just wanted a good rest on our first night. Unfortunately, that was difficult, as there was a large noisy wedding going on at the beach - which lasted until 4am - and which was quite loud, even with our windows shut.

Not impressed, we (nicely) complained, alerting the staff that we'd chosen this spot because we wanted peace and quiet.

The staff were sincere in their apology and assured us that there would be no more weddings over the remainder of our stay - and that this was unusual.

The next day, we received a letter of apology for the noise, a "dessert tree" and a bottle of champagne. They also comped us a pair of massages at the spa. (We haven't used those yet, but will be doing so!)

We thought it was a nice gesture, enough to make us forget about the wedding.

Since then, everything has been pretty much perfect. The beach and pool areas are beautiful, clean and private. The temperature of the water is great, both the ocean and the pools. Our room is large and new, with a million-dollar view - a wrap-around balcony with jacuzzi on it. Perhaps most importantly, we feel very safe and comfortable.

Breakfast was included in our package - we've alternated between Blanca Blue (on the water) and the Steak House, which is up on the hill by our room. Both have been very good. Yesterday, we saw humpback whales swimming by while eating, which we loved. We also celebrated a birthday dinner at Blanca Blue, also excellent.

Kids are extremely happy here and everyone has been kind and gracious. We haven't participated in the hotel activities - as we prefer to do our own thing - but there are many to choose from, all free. There are paddle-boards, sea kayaks, games, balls etc to use.

Taxis are available almost instantly and cost 100 pesos into town - only about 10 mins. Always important to us, Internet connections are good, in the room and throughout the resort.

We'll provide an updated review of our final week, after we return home. But for now, as the title suggests, everything has been great.

- A happy family at the Garza Blanca

PS A special thanks and shout out to Fidel, who has gone out of his way to make us feel welcome!

Room Tip: We elected for the bigger/newer rooms, up on the hill - rather than beachfront. (We're on 9th fl...

This hotel is amazing. I WILL return! This place is a GEM, what a find.

The hotel was so beautiful, GREAT decore, lighting, layout. Beautiful tile and Marble everywhere. Pools, fountains, lush vegetation. Oasis by day, and the lighting (colour, accent, candles, torches) made it spectacular at night.

Infinity pool and a more shallow relax pool. Ample deck space withh lots of loungers. Towel service, Poolside bar and waiter service.
Large beach with white sand, blue water - and if you like: kayaks, paddleboards

My suite was huge. Right on the corner of the building south of the pool, has AMAZING views of ocean. Not 'quite' a view of sunset - unless you snuck you head around the corner of your Immense terrace, but relax in your outdoor hammock or outdoor HOT TUB and take in the view of the bay.

Staff was very pleasant, and helpful.
Food:
day: US/CAN priced breakfasts and lunch, with a focus on fresh
eve: High-end dining and a wine list to die for.

Resort has suites with full-Kitchens if you need that kind of room.
The price-point is certainly more than you average A-I spots, but this is NOT an Average resort. It was luxury indeed. Couples, Individuals and families all enjoyed. The beach is large but not huge, but was never busy when I was there. If you are looking for an upscale vacation spot...this is it!

Room Tip: I stayed in 2503B - a 1300 sq ft suite. Corner. Perfect It was located off of the main pool, right...

This hotel had exceptional service, staff and food. I went with my family and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. the penthouse with private balcony and hot tub was perfect for a large family. Ample pools, beach and recreational activites for all ages. We will definately consider returning.

The only consideration is the numerous 5 star all inclusive hotels that have been built recently. The newer the build the better chances of a great experience.

Room Tip: Any Penthouse

The resort is set in one of the most perfect locations in all of PV. The most incredible view of LOS ARCOS. We were put into a 2 bedroom suite, it was a fully equipped condo complete with a washer and dryer. Just beautiful!! From the time you pull up to the time you leave the staff really do there best to make sure you have everything you need. I will say tho, there is one staff member that really made the vacation for me. FRANCISCO he is one of the staff at the pool. He was just awesome. he took me and my brother on a hike up in the hills that was just fabulous, from that point forward Francisco was like a brother. He was always checking in with us to see if there was anything else that he or other staff could do. If you like a little more laid back easy going resort the
GARZA BLANCHA is it. They also have really great food!!!

This place is absolutely stunning! Perfectly set between the ocean/mountains. Beautiful rooms with ocean views. I stayed in the one bedroom suite which was perfect!

Cleanliness of all the facilities and the suite is top notch. The staff is super friendly and helpful, everyone spoke English.

I love at night, the resort uses candlelight and special atmosphere lighting seting the tone for a wonderful vacation! A feast for your eyes in every direction from the moment you arrive.

The team at the Aqua Azul pool bar/restaurant are amazing. The staff are attentive and anticipate your needs before you even ask. Special thanks to Oswaldo & Juan Pablo. They really go out of their way to make you feel special at all times. By the end of the trip, they felt like true friends.

The resort's Exec Chef is visible each day greeting you and ensuring quality food is being prepared for you starting with cooking techniques to the presentation of the plate. Lovely! On the resort beach, they offer your choice of fresh caught fish, prepared to your specifications. The ceviche is especially delicious, made right in front of you!

The beach area is very large and clean, the ocean is warm & blue, and there are lots of beach/adventure activities available within steps of your beach chair like jet ski, kayak, paddleboarding. These cost extra but the prices are very reasonable!

I recommend this resort to everyone.
