I stayed at this hotel on a couple of occasions, but only because I had friends and family staying there. The hotel belongs to a fellow that had it passed down from his father and I truly don't think he has made any updates to the property or fixed anything properly since he got it. You regularily see appliances being moved from one room to another, instead of fixing or replacing those that don't work. The picture on the website is probably 20 years or more old and doesn't accurately resemble the hotel's condition.
The rooms were clean, but in need of repairs. The entire hotel requires a great, great deal of updating. The beds were like sleeping on rock and during the day, the lobby seemed to be a locals hangout.
The price you pay for the room is for the location. It is right on the beach and within walking distance to the Malecon, many great restaurants and shopping.More
