The location of Andales on the Bay is so convenient; you can walk to everything. It is also in the Original and last remaining bits of Charm of the Old Town.
I stayed in Unit 2 for the first week and found it to be comfortable, very clean and extremely spacious. If you like to cook, or entertain...there is plenty of space. The building is fairly new and well maintained. If I needed anything, the staff at the front desk found it for me. They are a wealth of information!
Week 2 I spent in Penthouse 7. It was a step into a much more Luxurious state. Better views, better FANTASTIC Kitchen. I Really, Really, enjoyed it. The 2 balconies really just opened up the whole space to the great outdoors.
I cannot say enough good things about the staff. There is always someone at the front desk during office hours. They will bend over backwards to make sure you have a great stay.
Some really nice advantages were the "Room Service" from Andales Restaurant that is located about a block away. Some nights you just don't feel like cooking or going out. You can order from Andales Restaurant Menu, and it will be delivered to your suite. Although Andales Bar is typically regarded as a cool Dive-Bar for the +50 crowd, they got a new Chef, and OMG, he is amazing!! The Burgers are always good, but "Chef" likes to show off his appreciation for Local Fish. It is always fresh.
I didn't think I would do this on Holiday, but maybe I'm getting older, and realize that others don't have it so good. You see this in a resort town all the time... the locals catering to the Holiday people. You know that there are unfortunate, hard working, local people that just can't make ends meet. The Owner of Andales has an effective
program set up to feed the less fortunate. Those that just can't catch a break. You can join in if you want. I thought that was amazing; and it was a good memory of my trip.
