“Simply the Best B&B in Puerto Vallarta!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2013

I took my boyfriend to Puerto Vallarta for his birthday, and it was absolutely great! Rita Love, the owner, was so sweet, and her hospitality was beyond compare. The B&B Casa Amorita was clean, beautiful, and expertly run. The staff was wonderful, and the breakfasts were delicious.

The pool in front of the property features a gorgeous view, and is built so that it partially enters the living room. The architectural detail was amazing! The location was perfect, as we could walk to many restaurants, and in that area, there were many. I booked a massage, and it was one of the best in my entire life. The sunsets were spectacular, every single night. The rooftop area is a great way to watch the sunset, before dressing for dinner. We had a wonderful stay, and look forward to visiting again soon!

Room Tip: The room off the kitchen, located on the first floor, opened to a private poolside relaxation area...

A return visit to Casa Amorita confirmed that Rita Love and her terrific staff--Lisette, Benal and Nelson--continue to provide guests with a fantastic stay in old Puerto Vallarta. Rita's lovely B&B, a visual treat with 5-star breakfasts has no equal in old Puerto Vallarta. Her staff, warm and accommodating, once again made our week there wonderful and memorable. The highest of recommendations for this outstanding
B&B.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Amorita for a week in February, and it was a wonderful experience. The owner Rita was friendly, gracious, and very helpful in arranging reservations for taxis, restaurants and excursions. The inn is beautiful and well maintained, decorated in a lovely Spanish style. it has are several comfortable common areas, good for relaxing and reading. There are wonderful views of the neighborhood and the nearby church from the main level and the roof top bar. The location of the inn is very good, close to restaurants, galleries and the beach. Rita and her staff prepared beautiful and delicious breakfasts every morning, including omlettes, eggs benedict, and crepes with fresh fruit. The breakfasts were beautifully presented on lovely china, dusted with cinnamon and decorated with fresh flowers. We very much enjoyed the inn and other guests and look forward to going back!

We have just spent 9 days at the Casa Amorita and it's absolutely marvellous. The location is ideal, especially if you don't have a car, because it's within walking distance of everything in the old part of Puerto Vallarta. The common areas, dining room and sitting room are lovely, but the pool is especially cool! We spent 3 nights in a front bedroom, with a magnificent view, overlooking the cathedral, the city and the bay. The other 6 nights we had the back room, which has a lovely patio and a king size bed. If you want quiet, I suggest you choose the back room, but realize that you are in Mexico, a vibrant country full of lovely people, beautiful colours and much noise. The cathedral is half a block away and the bells are rung regularly and loudly, but after a couple of nights, we stopped hearing them. The cooked breakfast each morning was an experience of culinary delight, only to be outdone by the home made granola, which is sublime. My last comment is to do with Rita and her wonderful staff, Haroldo, Lisette, her sister and Danielle. My thanks to you all for making our visit so great and memorable and a return visit is definitely on the cards.

Room Tip: If you want quiet, choose the back room.

I spent five nights at Casa Amorita over New Years, and cannot recommend it highly enough! Rita, owner and host, is attentive and discreet – very hard to achieve – and her staff is first rate. By the end of the first day I knew everyone by name, and felt like family. My room was romantic, immaculate, and overlooked the town and the church (wondrous bells, occasionally playing a full “Ave Maria”). Breakfasts were the best and most varied of any place I’ve stayed: “Huevos Divociatos” (new to me) one day, French toast the next, Eggs Benedict the following , and, in deference to other guests, a vegetarian fruit feast on yet another. Rita’s recommendations are right on (I knew Puerto Vallarta from two earlier trips), and Puerto Vallarta is a safe, relaxed, pleasurable town. Casa Amorita is in the center, which makes it easy to get anywhere. Free Wi-Fi, free phone to the States, beautiful and spotless common and guest rooms, romantic ambiance & views, great breakfasts, attentive host and staff, towels for the pool & towels for the beach -- in brief, if you love B&Bs, this is close to ideal!

Room Tip: I loved my 2nd floor room overlooking the town, the church and the bay. The other rooms were charmi...

we spent a week at casa amorita recently (january 2013), having chosen this b&b for its proximity to davanna yoga studio and to old town pv and for its excellent rating on trip advisor. we were not disappointed. as many have noted, accomodations were lovely and well-appointed. Rita ensured that we had everything we needed at our fingertips. her staff were friendly and helpful, with Geraldo offering us whatever we might need to make our beach visits comfortable (i.e. a cooler or umbrella). we had--bar-none--the BEST massage ever from Alma. (my neck hasn't felt this loose in years.) Maya and the budgie brigade are charming ambassadors. in terms of proximity to what we were looking for, casa amorita is two blocks from davanna yoga studio (ensuring balance between poses in the a.m. and beach, beers, and shrimp in the p.m.). but let's talk breakfast: we are novice "foodies," and Rita and her girls did not disappoint. not only were these breakfasts gastronomical gifts, but they were also works of art, presentation thanks to her darling helpers. and finally, hearty thanks go to Rita and her girls for holding our breakfasts each morning so that we could practice yoga. as stated earlier, Rita's b&b is 100% accomodating. thanks, Rita. we will be back.

Room Tip: excellent location: far enough away from the malecon (3-4 blocks?), yet close enough to the malecon...

My partner and I stayed at Casa Amorita for three nights in mid January; we really enjoyed it. The home is lovely and comfortable. Rita was very informative and welcoming. The staff took great care of us. The breakfasts were truly delicious, each very different from one another, beautifully presented and excellent quality!! We stayed in the room on the ground floor and you could hear people talking in the kitchen in the morning. If you want to sleep in, ask for one of the other rooms. Rita kindly provides earplugs, which helps as the nearby cathedral rings its bells several times an hour--even throughout the night. There is a lovely rooftop deck, the perfect spot to unwind at the end of the day, enjoy the view and watch the sunset.
