We happened upon this restaurant by chance, saw the tripadvisor sign, and decided to try it. It is small, charming and the owner and chef,Pablo, gave us wonderful, personalized service. We ordered the fish specials, which were excellent and a very good price (95 pesos). We enjoyed the way the whole family was involved with helping in the restaurant and returned for a second meal. Again the food was excellent and we topped off the meal with the flambeed dessert. It's just a short walk off the Malecon, but nice to be in a quieter setting with nice soft music.

Small, family run restaurant with great food and reasonable prices. Just what you want to find in PV. Specials each day and nice menu choices. I had a delicious mahimahi fish fillet, for just $95 pesos. It was excellent -- and I'm not much of a fish lover. We chose to sit at one of the tables outdoors. Just a short walk from beach.
The whole family gets involved!

We usually vist PV in October to get our condo ready for the rental high season. Zirahen is located close by but has always been closed during the low season. It came highly recommended and fortuneately it was open our last night in town. Very small. The owner Pablo is chef, server and I suspect the dish washer too. His small son is delight ful too.
Our meals were excellent!!! We can't say enough about the food and the personal service.
We would recomment Zirahuen to anyone and the prices are a true bargain.

Nanadearest (below) needs to get out more or attend to her own, presumably rival restaurant? This is a real gem -- a welcoming and attentive host, superbly cooked food with a real flair for the interesting touch, good wine at reasonable prices. It's the ground floor of the family's house, and Pablo manages to combine a family atmosphere with sophisticated flare - a real achievement in PV.

My husband and I , along with another couple, enjoyed a really nice dinner at this restaurant. Two of us had the pescado,(one with chipotle sauce and one with bechamel sauce), and two of us had the filet mignon. The food was really good. , the service was great, and we had a wonderful evening. The owner is Juan Pablo and he was friendly and helpful. You have to try dessert. We had the strawberry flambe....a tasty dessert prepared at your table...a pretty presentation. Salud
