All the food is great and tasty. Tequila is very overpriced. Try the flank steak. Outdoor seating with nice natural surroundings.

Part of the charm of this restaurant is the adventure getting there. We took the bus through neighborhoods that I have never traveled through, past Paso Ancho to Paso de Guyabo, where the bus stops “end of the line”, and head by foot about 1 kilometer to the restaurant. This is a butterfly preserve and there are so many varieties that I have never seen before. It is a beautiful area for sure. We arrive at the restaurant and we are the only ones there. We are welcomed like old friends and we take our choice of any table in the place that we want. We had beer, margaritas, arrachera, and brochettes of beef, chicken and shrimp. The food was very good. Not gourmet for sure, but good, flavorful and reasonably priced. As we spend some time chatting and enjoying the surroundings, ATVs with riders aboard of course show up and the restaurant is hopping. There is a full bar and tequila tasting for those willing to imbibe.
I made a YouTube Video of our adventure and it is called, Lunch at Moro Paraiso, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Very original title don't you think? I hope it will encourage you to give this place a try. We really loved the experience!

The BBQ meats are all excellent and the people awesome! They are dog friendly and always give my girl a bowl of water.

Cascading river view, clean and friendly! Full bar and excellent house chef. Guac is fresh and chunky. Palapa shade with clean facilities. Will be coming back for sure.

If you would like to get off the beaten track then Moro Paraiso is for you. The setting is serene next to the river and you never know what you'll see, cows one day, egrets the next, or horses tied up in the front, and maybe a few ATV's on a tour stop for lunch.

I dined with two friends and we took a cab this time. But, you can take the bus, but there are important things to consider if you do so.

The bus leaves from the Southwest corner of Insurgentes and Lazaro Cardenas. You'll take the Paso Ancho bus. This is a terminal so you'll see several buses pull up at the corner. There are TWO DIFFERENT Paso Ancho BUSES and one is not direct. So ask the driver "Paso Ancho?", and he will know you want to go directly there, and will say yes or no.

The bus will take you on an interesting ride through the colonias...Coloso, Buenas Aires, and Paso Ancho. The end of the line is tiny Paso del Guayabo. The ride is only about 20 minutes.

From Paso de Guayabo you'll walk south on a dirt road next to the river for about 15 minutes, passing under the photographic stone arches that span the road. This is a very pleasant sometimes shaded walk where you may see local families swimming in the river.

VERY IMPORTANT - There was no way to call a cab in the case of returning to town by way of cab, I presume there is no cell service. So, you need to make arrangements with a cab if that's how you want to return, or you can walk back to Paso del Guayabo to catch the bus back to town.

This visit we had Shrimp Quesadillas, Ceviche Tostadas, and a Shrimp Tostada. Ceviche was good but I loved the Shrimp Quesadilla! They also serve a few sauces and my favorite was the red sauce. My other friend had the Arrachera and cleaned his plate. The prices are inexpensive to mid range.

Enjoy, Moro Paraiso makes for a very relaxing afternoon!
