Want a place that is away from the tourist crowd and hubbub of the city? Don't tell anyone but, Ted and Brischa are the perfect hosts to make this happen. I really want to keep this B&B a secret because once you experience this unique place located in the hills above old Puerto Vallarta, you might take my next year's reservation! Your host meets you at the airport and escorts you to Colonia Buenas Aires. Climbing up a steep cobble stoned street, you find their B&B right in the midst of an old Mexican village. As you proceed up the two flights of stairs, you are met by several friendly dogs and cats. (All rescued from certain death on the streets). There you find a beautiful pool where breakfast can be enjoyed every morning. Speak about breakfasts….. Ted begins each morning by squeezing fresh orange juice. He and Brischa then create some of the best plates from the local ingredients you ever laid a tooth on! If he asks you what your wishes are, tell him to use his own imagination and then be prepared for some great treats each morning. Wake up each morning to the sound of doves cooing, roosters crowing and the local street vender yelling 'pan' or 'pan dulce',( bread or sweet bread). Get acquainted with Whitey (cat) or Oden (dog). After breakfast, lay around the pool or walk to old town P.V. (about a 20 minute trek or 30 minutes to the beach). Ted will call a cab if you don't need the exercise (about 50 pesos or $4 USD). Want a guide to see the big city(?) or even venture out into the country to an old silver mining town or even a coffee plantation? Ask Ted, He can arrange it. Any way, we will return!
