Villa Premiere Hotel & Spa appreciates the time you have taken to give us your opinión; there is nothing better to know that you had a relaxing time and experienced a good service. We are looking forward on hosting you once again on a near future.
We spent 4 days at Villa Premier on October 10, 2013 on the way to the Grand Mayan. Every employee was excellent and the stay was just as comfortable as the Grand Mayan. Very fast service and maintenance and very courteous. Everthing was maintained and clean. The location is great if you have never expierenced down town. Close to all the shops and the boardwalk. We felt safe every where we went. They offer you a choice of pillows, "who does that". I usually take my own and could have left them at home. The welcome massage and drink were very welcome after traveling. Alll the rooms are Ocean front, so no reason to dread checking in. We would and will go back. We did not go with the all-exclusive even though thier food was excellent. We just wanted to walk around and really try different restaurants.
We are glad to hear about the pleasant stay you had. It is very important for us to know that our guests enjoyed the time they spent with us. The unbeatable location of Villa Premiere makes go everywhere easier and safer and allowed you to enjoy all our culture and to try our amazing gastronomy. Thank you for sharing your experience on TripAdvisor and we look forward to another great experience.
Outstanding in every category! Favorably impressed by management and staff being actively involved with the day-to-day activities...very close attention to the details. Consequently, their customer service was superb. Amenities are very well maintained. The location of the hotel is convenient to the downtown district and boardwalk along the beach. The 'all inclusive' feature is well worth the money. The food (and presentation) is amongst the best we've experienced. Our overall experience is a 5++++ stars. We will definitely be returning.
Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to leave a review. We strive to provide the best possible service and experiences. It is always great to hear from our guests on how we are doing. We are very thankful for your amazing review from all of the staff and myself. GRACIAS!
We truly look forward on making another Wonderful and “Great Vacation”.
Wow, we had a great time in Puerto Vallarta staying at the Villa Premiere. I selected this hotel based on reviews on TA (more on that below) and my girlfriend and I had a great time.
We travelled the first week of September and the weather was as expected; some afternoon thunderstorms but they quickly passed and it was nice to get some cool air blowing in, anyway. This hotel is owned by the same group as the Buenaventura next door, though you wouldn't really know it unless you were told. The site is small, relatively secluded (it's at the end of a section of public beach, against a pier) and the staff seem to be on the upper end of the talent pool in the area.
You do indeed get a complimentary glass of champagne and massage on arrival, and the staff were very happy to see us. Everything with our reservation was in order and the room is as shown on the web site; a bit spartan and maybe a little dated, but clean and well-apportioned.
We did the all-inclusive plan ("TI" in spanish) and it was a great option for us not to have to worry about drinks costs and the like. Though I don't think it's expected we did tip a few bucks on each purchase, a little more at dinner. In conversations with the staff it seems they get paid well for the market but still below what you'd expect, so I felt good paying for decent service.
The younger wait staff seem more hungry for the work (and tips) and their service is faster. In the three restaurants and the pool bar, don't expect servicio rapido. We never waited an inordinate amount of time for food, but it's slower than you'd expect stateside. Just be sure not to wait until you're starving.
If you're on the all-inclusive plan the booze is mid-range and not bad; the bartenders seem willing to whip up more interesting concoctions if you're feeling adventurous. The swim-up bar is fun and we met a lot of couples there (mostly on honeymoons) though we ran into a handful of other younger (20-something) unmarried couples, too.
Never had a problem getting a chair by the pool, and people seem pretty good about not hogging a chair if they're not using it. We didn't really hit up the day beds but they are fewer in number so you might want to head out early and grab one if that's your thing.
If you have trouble saying a polite "no," practice before going to Mexico; as noted by others the beaches are public and there are people selling all kinds of knick-knacks. They will walk right up to the pool bar and try to get your attention; just "no, gracias" and they'll skedaddle. It's just a little painful to watch the one person who doesn't have the heart to say no.
As for the "vacation club"/timeshare piece, we didn't get hit up at all, though there is a relatively prominent office for selling them, and there were plenty of people in there. Not sure if we didn't fit their sales profile (good guess, guys...) or they just aren't being as aggressive, but it was no biggie. Again, just learn to say no.
Only a few small nags: The food is okay, sometimes good, but not particularly great. The international-fare restaurant tried to do Italian one night and that was the lowest point. Edible, just not that good. The food is probably overpriced if you pay a la carte but if you're all-inclusive, not a deal breaker.
Also, just because it's all-inclusive doesn't mean you don't get a check; since there are european-plan guests you have to give your room number a lot, and you'll get a folio to tab out. On one or two occasions the all-inclusive didn't kick in for whatever reason and I had to point it out. (In other words, your total should almost always be -0-.)
One last note - the timeshare folks are super-duper aggressive at the airport, and it's unlike anything I've seen in my international travels. The companies pay so much that they literally get to run the gauntlet on all incoming passengers. Just give them a firm "no" (see a trend, here?) and go straight through until you see daylight. I will admit we got briefly waylayed until we realized THESE were in fact the people everyone warned us about.

My husband and I just returned home from Puerto Vallarta. This is our second stay at the Villa Premiere Resort & Spa. We have been going to Puerto Vallarta for 30 years and found this resort to be the BEST OF THE BEST! We love the location, friendly and professional staff, excellent food and wonderful amenities. We stayed in the Spa Suite which was large, comfortable and the bed was heavenly. The food is 5 star quality, the service is very professional, warm and friendly. We had the couples spa treatments and absolutely LOVED IT! I recommend the Villa Premiere Resort & Spa to anyone who doesn't want to be around kids, wants to kick back and relax and most importantly be treated with 5 star treatment. This place in número uno on our list.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful experience, Villa Premiere Hotel & Spa is honored to know we accomplish our main goal on your stay. My wife and I have been guests at the Villa Premiere in Puerto Vallarta many times over the last few years. The service really is adults only and they are very protective of the guests. It is nice to sit around the pool and not hear screaming children or employees yelling for volleyball in the pool. The music is soft and adult, the service is great and the food is wonderful. You get the treatment from the moment you arrive with a glass of champagne and a massage to ease the tension of flying. There are many wonderful hotels in Puerto Vallarta but this one is one of the best. Highly recommended.
Thank you for all your wonderful comments your opinion is very valuable to all of our staff, We are sure your comment will be a great help and benefit to other travelers in search of their paradise away from home. Thank you once again.!!
