First of all I would like to thank all of you who contributed to the reviews. Without reading them first I would have not selected this hotel, glad I did! From the moment you arrive, you are waited on like a king. From the cold towel at welcome, to the glass of champagne, to the wonderful 5 minute massage, this hotel is top notch. The concierge is open throughout the day and night as is the Vallarta travel agent that can assist you with any trips. Our room was made up twice a day. Every evening when we returned our bed was ready for us, slippers and robe at bedside, very classy. We did not chose the all inclusive. We wanted to venture out and try the local culture. I was never disappointed. From the street vendors selling tacos, fresh shrimp and fish on a skewer, fresh oysters and clams straight from the bay, to the fine restaurants. Never had a bad meal. If you want to try some good mexican food, Pipi's was our favorite. The location of the hotel is withing walking distance to all the shops, restaraunts and the Malecon, the boardwalk. Our room had a fridge but we did not use the items that came with it. The beer and water/bevarages were pricey. There are many local corner stores called OXXO, and also a large grocery store nearby. All we did was buy items to drink and stored them in our fridge. The pool is top notch, the view breathtaking. We did take a city tour for about $40, well worth it. We also recommend a trip, on a boat, which are called booze cruises. We stopped at 3 islands, one you can snorkel and the equip is provided at no cost. Another island stop for lunch and for you brave folks you can zip line. The 3rd was a journey to an island that you can horseback ride up the moutain to a beautiful waterfall, for about $10 a person. The cost of this trip was about $33, which includes a continental breakfast, lunch and all the beer and mixed drinks you can handle. I hope your stay in Vallarta is as memorable as ours was. I have included a few photos. Thanks for your time.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this resort. We have traveled to PV many times but never stayed here until this trip. The property is charming. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. We booked a standard room which had an option of king or double beds. When we checked in, they only had double beds left which we accepted. They gave us an upgrade for the second half of our stay in a honeymoon suite with a king bed and jacuzzi on a very large deck. You could schedule the maid to fill the jacuzzi for you which would include rose petals and candles for no extra charge. It was wonderful.

PV and this resort were slow due to the swine flu fears and low season. No cases of swine flu have been seen in PV.

I would highly recommend this resort to any couples or adults that want a laid back place to stay. The location is great. You can walk into town easily which we did daily. Short cab rid to the airport or to the marina which has some wonderful places to eat.

Stayed here 2/09, chose it based on tripadvisor ratings, I had no complaints whatsoever. Staff were wonderful, rooms were spacious, clean, sleek and comfortable. Pool area is incredibly beautiful, we even saw a couple whales from the pool which overlooks the ocean. Location is great, but you need to take a 5 minute cab to get downtown. Wasn't a big deal for us. We asked for a room upgrade on check in, got honeymoon suite for $50 extra per night. You can also ask for all inclusive package on check in and bargain this price. Would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers wanting to get a spa-like zen vacation minus the kids. We have 3 kids and selected this resort specifically for the location (walking distance from the Malecon) as well as the adult's only accommodations. We went during the height of the swine flu scare, so the hotel only had a 15% occupancy rate. However, we did not think they skimped on the service and quality despite the low occupany. Our room was clean with a beautiful view. Take advantage of all the amenties - the couples massage was wonderful. We will return to PV and stay at this same hotel again.

I agree with all positive post on this hotel. The staff was amazing. It seemed they had more staff than guest. Never felt crowded or rushed. Checked out and sat at the pool bar for one last drink. We went with another couple. Our friend went in to use the restroom and was told that they forgot a silver chain they purchased for their grandson on this trip. Now the maid did not know we were sitting by the pool, we had checked out. This type of stuff amazes me; I love honest people and I respect that.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel this past January without the kids. We couldn't have picked a more perfect place to spend a kid less week. The place was amazing. Everything from the staff, to the rooms, service, to the ambiance was spectacular. We actually found this hotel by using TripAdvisor, and found that we could agree with every fabulous review that we read before we went. Our suite had a panoramic ocean view with a table and chairs, 2 chaises and a jacuzzi tub. We ordered room service almost all of the evenings and they set it up right out on the balcony. We had an ocean view every night!

We would go back in a hearbeat!

Most reviews state what happens when you arrive... the cold towel, cold drink and the wonderfull (too short) massage, well this was wonderful! A great way to start your vacation. All the staff is friendly and remembered your name. We booked room 2205, a premiere room. Paloma took us up and I couldnt help feel like a kid! I wanted to touch everything. Very tranquil setting. smallish size balcony but big enough for 2 chairs and a small table. The picture on the website is what our room really looked like. But, doesnt do it justice!
The night of our anniversary we came back from a great dinner at the Vista Grill to our bedroom which the staff and set up so romantic! Rose petals on the bed, chocolate covered cherries on the counter in the kitchen, a lovely note from the staff and the bathtub filled with nice smelling bubbles with candles and rose petals all over in there.
It was nice to come back from walking all day to a clean room, cute little towel animals and a note from the maid. After freshing up, going to the swimup bar for cocktails and guacamole. YUM! They remembered what we drank everytime. We chose not to do the AI since we had plans for most of our meals off site but we did have breakfast there our first morning and it was all good.
Easy walk to the malecon. We walked to the malecon once on the beach and most of the time on the streets. We walked at night with no problems, felt very safe.
Try the little taco carts.. tacos pastor were great! 8 pesos each made for cheap eats!
Even though we only stayed 6 days (4 full days and 2 very short days) We didnt want to leave.
Thanks to all the wonderful staff and the managers for a vacation to remember.
