Overall we had a great time at Canto del Sol. I went with a friend of mine and stayed for a week. We spent quite a bit of time at the hotel and and did a few excursions outside of Mexico.
Like life in many places in Latin America, you have to go to Mexico with an open mind and take things with a grain of salt as on the whole it's different. If you are a princess and need everything to be perfect and 100% on time, with no adventure, stay home. If you're looking a fun place to get some sun, have fun, have drinks on the beach and check out the town, I recommend Canto del Sol and Puerto Vallarta.
Puerto Vallarta is big on time shares, and at times certain places can be annoying/pushy with time shares. However, the people at Canto del Sol were quite passive and gave information on time shares in a nice way. They are not as intense as other people I have seen trying to sell time shares, and if you politely decline, they understand. All in all, the staff time share people were extremely friendly and it was a pleasure to talk to them, especially Lucy, Gaby, David and Jorge, thank you guys!More
