This is a GREAT restaurant! We have been here for dinner during 3 of our 4 trips to Puerto Vallarta. They have quality food, excellent service and potent drinks! This restaurant has almost doubled in seating area since last year as mentioned in other reviews. It is a very busy place later in the evening so going a little earlier for dinner will insure quicker seating. The prices are very good for the quality of food and size of the portions. The wait staff is very attentive and pleasant as well as accommodating to special requests. We always enjoy our meal here and will continue to come here during future visits to PV!

We have enjoyed El Brujo for many years. This year we found that they've doubled their size - that means less waits for hungry guests! The molcajete is delicious, as is the red snapper and pretty much all their other entres. Prices are reasonable, margaritas are tasty, and wait staff is friendly. What's not to love?

Our only visit this year, with friends who are past customers too.
As mentioned by other reviewers, the place is larger now and the kitchen is viewed through a large and attractive arch.
It was about half full when we arrived about 7:30 and we were allowed to choose our table. The waiter was fluent in English, which is always much appreciated by us "Spanishly" challenged visitors.
My wife and I had a beer and the waiter was very accommodating as we waited to order dinner while the couple with us waded through their enormous Margaritas.
I had the ribs again and my wife ordered chicken breast poblana. Her chicken was great. My ribs were, unfortunately a bit burned on the bottom, but not bad enough to send back, They were tasty, and the sauce is very good. Our friends both had the shrimp fajitas and they were proclaimed to be delicious.
The service was good and the waiter showed a nice sense of humour. When asked to take our picture, he promptly turned and snapped a shot of the bus boy and another waiter, before making sure he got a couple of good pics of us.
There was a nice mix of Mexicans and visitors in the room, which is always reassuring.
The only downside is the noisy buses which run by the door, but that's hard to avoid in PV.
One other distraction and it's not the fault of the restaurant, except that they allow it, was the arrival of a guitar player/singer who stood directly behind me and performed in a very loud voice, a Spanish song which we couldn't understand and which put an end to our conversation. Another table appeared to appreciate him and invited him to sing for them, fortunately with his back to us, so maybe it's just us who don't like Mexican music.
Probably what creates my dislike for the music it that it's usually played at ear damaging levels, in keeping with the seemingly firm belief by Mexicans, that if your ears aren't bleeding, it's not loud enough.
However, I digress. Do visit El Brujo and you will have a very nice meal.

Yes, this is the place. We were able to park outside the door. We had a guacamole and another appetizer. She enjoyed her margarita and the coconut big shrimp. I had the fish stuffed with shrimp and cheese covered in a green chile sauce. Excellent. About $50 total. Go, enjoy.

Most taxi drivers know how to get here, but will not necessarily give you a recommendation to here. The food is to die for, but really reasonably priced, probably because they havnt made deals with the drivers to drop you there! It was casual atmosphere, with upscale food! I would go again!
