“The food was not very good.”
Reviewed 2 December 2013 via mobile

We came here for dinner. Both my husband and I ordered the fish. The server told us it was mahi mahi, but I don't think it was. My husband fish was swimming in soy sauce and can barely finish the meal without a lot of water, and mine was steam fish in which it was tasteless, I had to get some of my husband sauce to give it favor.

“Everything is so fresh”
Reviewed 2 April 2013

We just made it to eat breakfast before they closed for the season. Thank goodness. it does take while if you have more than two people, as they make everything fresh and there is only one cook. It is all great, we had huevos rancheros, huevos mexicana, and pancakes! it was all fabulous. Last year we were lucky to eat dinner there, and had fantastic fettucine alfredo with chicken and shrimp. Worth every calorie. if you have the opportunity to eat here don't miss out.

“Still best Breakfast in Zihua”
Reviewed 15 March 2013

Same as last year. Their breakfast choices are varied and plenty when it comes to portion size.
This is always our first stop on our first day in town. You can't go wrong at El Perla.

This restaurant has great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reasonable prices. The coconut syrup is the best in town.

“Wow, we went back 4 times during our trip!”
Reviewed 11 August 2012

We literally stumbled upon El Perla Negra as it was just down the road from our hotel, Brisas del Mar. My husband was looking for a place to get take away food and came home with the most delicious food. We went back almost every night we were there. The restaurant does not look like much from the outside, but many locals go there and it is always busy. Sometimes if you're unlucky you may have to wait due to the occational dinner rush. Try the fish with manchego and tomato... Sooo good. Or the prawns with chili. The best mexican I have ever had!
