What a wonderful place!!! Had big plans for sightseeing and such when we first arrived, but got soooooo relaxed we ended up not doing much at all. It was enough just to lay on under the palapa all day and watch all the activity on the beach. Although we did venture into town on one evening. We went to the flea market, waterfront, and ate authentic mexican food at Tamales e Atole Any. Walking back through the doors to Villa del Sol after that excursion was like walking into another world.
Can't begin to describe the excellent, warm and friendly service of everyone at Villa del Sol. From the morning coffee and croissants delivered to the room to the designs made of flower petals left on the pillow by housekeeping. The accommodations were beautiful, even in the superior rooms which are the least expensive. The food was yummy and there was alot of variety, especially at breakfast where we didn't eat the same thing twice. Was very nice having lunch on the beach under our palapa too. At first I hadn't been thrilled with the thought of having to eat most of our meals at the hotel (mandatory meal plan), but later it became a blessing in disguise given our increasingly relaxed state and lessening desire to leave the property.
Haven't stopped singing the praises of Villa del Sol since we've returned and wished we never had to leave!!!
