We stay at Club Intrawest every year. I love the staff and the resort.
This year, we were very excited that there was a new restaurant with this time, reasonable prices (unlike before, ridiculous!).
The atmosphere is wonderful: authentic, clean, inviting. The staff could not be more helpful, hospitable and accomodating. The food ~ not so much. The menu is certainly more affordable because the serving is at the very least, minimal. Be careful if you order the green salad w/ house dressing. Without warning, the house dressing is so caliente that my lips burned for an hour after eating. The Chile rellano w/ chicken, hah! The half chili was filled with about 1/3 cup of chicken.
Now don't get me wrong. If I'm ordering appetizers or tapas, I do not expect these to be meal size. However, with this said, if I'm ordering a meal, I expect more then a tapas.
Was very excited, now very disappointed.
They have it 1/2 right, but still not worth the visit to Acopia.

Thank Chris N

We are staying at Club Intrawest and have dined at Acopio 3 times, twice for dinner, once for breakfast. It is a gorgeous restaurant, the décor is awesome, the views are positively the best. It overlooks Playa La Ropa, and the sunsets we saw during dinner were the kind that make you melt with joy. The service is fine, very warm and friendly. Not as personal as we have experienced at other Mexican restaurants, but fine. The food is mixed. Both nights at dinner we were treated to lovely mini-quesadilla amuse bouches, my husband is from England and not into Mexican food, but we both thought it was really delicious. For appetizers we tried the seafood cocktail and the black bean soup. The soup was bland, and the seafood cocktail did not feel properly chilled. Later that night, I got ill, not sure if it was the seafood cocktail or not, but I will not order it again, to be safe. My main course, the flank steak, was absolutely delicious, melt in your mouth tender. My husband did not like the pizza at all, but he really enjoyed his spaghetti Bolognese. We did appreciate the pace of the service. Our food was prompt, but we never felt at all rushed. Perfect for soaking in those views. We did not dine at it's predecessor, Zi, so we can't compare. We both really loved our breakfast there. We were also a bit baffled that it does not open for dinner until 6, some choose to dine more, like, 5, especially Americans like me. =) Or, those with kids. But overall it was fine. We ate at the Hotel Irma our 3rd night, and preferred the Las Naranjas restaurant at the Irma, tbh.

A good variety of Mexican and comfort foods with excellent, friendly service. The prices are considerably cheaper than the previous Zi but the quality of food, service and view are maintained.
