Hope to be back one day! Everything about it was wonderful. The owners and staff treated us great. Beautiful view, awesome pool and rooms. Not to far from town and the cabies treat you well too. A vacation I will never forget!

My wife and I just spent a happy mini-break at this delightful property. Casa Solana is perched on the hillside above Las Gatas beach with a panoramic view of the Bay. The B&B is brand spanking new: beautifully designed and set in a tropical garden. The complex is gated and secure. The attention to detail is evident from the spotless large tiled infinity pool to the luxuriously appointed bedrooms with outdoor showers. The owners live on site and are warm and welcoming. Breakfasts are healthy and excellent: a cooked option which changes each day complements the cereal, yogurt & fruit items. Excellent fresh brewed coffee available from around 7am. Evening happy hours with a full bar service and bar menu. Professional staff keep the place sparkling and welcoming. The owners have lots of recommendations for restaurants and places of interest to visit. Taxis are economical and readily available. If you are looking for a special vacation in Zihuatanejo, this is it!

We have been lucky enough to stay at Casa Solana twice since they opened in January. We loved it so much that we made a return trip a couple of months later, and we stayed again for 10 days! The view is amazing and the setting is so peaceful. The breakfast that was served daily on the terrace overlooking Zihuatanejo bay was delicious and everyday was a different menu. The service that the owners, Melissa and Sriram, provide is top notch and even the beds are extremely comfortable. If you are looking for a beautiful and private retreat, this is it!

I visited Solana Boutique a couple of weeks ago. While I did not stay there on this occasion, I have watched with interest the building of this beautiful B & B in Zihau. Melissa and Sriram, the owners, gave me a tour of the property. Architecturally, the property is 5 stars, wonderfully designed and tastefully decorated. It is evident that the owners spent a great deal of time assuring that every detail was carefully considered. Every room has a view of the bay and the rooms are spacious and well laid out. On this occasion I spoke briefly with a couple honeymooning at the Inn and they spoke very highly about their stay.
The view from the hotel is stunning! It takes one's breath away. I know many locations in Zihau have great views but is seems every view has a slightly different perspective. In any event, We had some wine & snacks on the balcony overlooking the bay (at sunset). At the moment there are only a few options for snacks but plans are in place to expand the menu. We has a bowl of red pepper dip and a bowl of Guacamole with tortilla chips and bread. Both were delicious.
I think anyone who stays here will be impressed by the location, the rooms and the personal attention of the owners. It's a wonderful spot for honeymooners. Since it was only completed recently, bookings are available but lookout, because once people get to hear about it, bookings will become harder.

My husband and I just returned from 8 nights of much needed R & R at Casa Solana. This was our first trip to Zihua and our first real vacation without kids in 20 years. Casa Solana was the perfect place for us. Casa Solana is a very intimate, peaceful and romantic brand new 'boutique' hotel/B & B.
Careful detail went into every design aspect of this beautiful property, the inviting infinity pool, the palapa area and all the lush gardens. Each suite feels like it's own private oasis, every window looks out on the Bay or the Gardens. Each balcony includes a very welcoming hammock for those afternoon siestas. Most bathrooms, including ours, the Ceiba Suite, have luxurious semi-outdoor showers, again overlooking the Bay and Gardens. I was very impressed with the quality of the linens, both the large luxurious bath sheets and the bed linens. The views of the Bay are breathtaking and mesmerizing. The view at night of the town of Zihua with twinkling lights reminded us of a lit up Christmas tree.
The owners, Melissa and Sriram, are extremely knowledgeable about the area and very gracious, willing to share info about local restaurants, activities and destinations. Sriram was able to book my husband’s successful sport fishing trip for him, negotiating a very good price. The result was fresh fish tacos for everyone prepared by their skilled chef, Antonio. Antonio prepares delicious hot breakfasts every morning as well as great tapas food to go along with your evening cocktails.
Take advantage of the fantastic discount on rooms, which is not going to last much longer. We fell in love with Zihua and hope to return again and again. We hope we can always get a room at Casa Solana.

We are just back from a trip to Zihuatanejo. The third trip to this town in the last several years.

The property is beautiful with comfortable rooms, plenty of spaces to sit at and a pool that our son really enjoyed.

The cook is good and prepares a hot breakfast every morning. In the evening, the place hosts a cocktail hour that a few locals attend and it is a chance to enjoy some of the dips, and snacks made in their kitchen.

What set this trip apart from the first two was the opportunity to learn about great local places & activities from the hosts. We tried snorkeling in several great spots and in addition to several tropical fish, saw a manta ray, and sting rays for the first time. We also tried a variety of restaurants in the town (reviewed independently).

The hosts are quite accessible and can guide on food choices, ATMs, getting to places, and activities. We were able to enjoy several local restaurants at good prices, and managed to get to a lot of activities.

Room Tip: The suites are comfortable and have great views of the bay.
