We have traveled quite a bit and this place easily ranks at the top of our list; the owners/staff are truly amazing and quite frankly made our trip. The property, food, and service are top notch!

We found ourselves not wanting to leave the property; it was just so relaxing--food, pool, view! This is due in part to the fact the property has only 5 rooms, free from children (unless you buyout all the rooms), and caters to a clientele that is happy to enjoy their time peacefully and quietly reading a book, taking in the view while swimming in the pool, watching the hummingbirds, and/or listening to the canary. This is a boutique place that lives up to its name, 5 senses, as each sense is truly indulged.

It should also be noted that they were extremely accommodating for a vegan diet and went out of there way to provide an equally impressive meal as the non-vegan options on a daily basis.

Room Tip: We had room #3 and we really enjoyed it!

We returned here after a 5 year absence. We stayed in the Grand Suite. Since our last stay, Cinco Sentidos has only gotten better. Now a very good breakfast is served on the new patio.

We moved here after having been in Zihua for 2 full weeks. By this time we'd been to Playa La Ropa many times. The Grand Suite is so roomy and comfortable, we spent most days on our loungers or in the very large plunge pool. We bought enough lunch and snack food at Comercial Mexicana, that we didn't have to leave the room for lunch. (Beware: service can be very slow at the beach restaurants. You can spend too much of your afternoon waiting for your meal.) Your room has a bar fridge, as well as bowls, dishes, and silverware.

For cab rides, the hotel can call a cab for you, or you can simply walk down the hill to the nearby taxi stand. Ask Araceli where it is.

Araceli is a terrific hostess. Whatever you want to do, she can give you recommendations, or help with the arrangements.

This must be our 4th time or so staying at this magical paradise so efficiently managed by owners, Araceli and Heiko. People often ask why we return to Cinco time after time and here is why: the entire property is immaculately spic and span clean and it gets cleaner each year we come; the drop dead view of La Ropa beach is breathtaking; the heated private plunge pool in each unit is a great reprieve from the sun; the infinity pool water is crystal clear overlooking La Ropa; the king bed is extremely comfortable with a walk in shower that opens up to seeing La Ropa; the daily full breakfasts are something that came out of a 3 star Michelin establishment; the location is close to the beach (5 mins) by foot, to town by foot (20 mins), and to La Madera beach (10 to 15 mins).

Lastly and most importantly, we return to Cinco year after year is because of Heiko, Araceli, Salvador, Judith, and this year's new staff member, Ana. We are treated like family and we feel like we are part of the Cinco clan. What makes it even more special is seeing the same guests at Cinco year after year during our stay so that must tell you something about this "gem!"

We will return again next year so we now start counting down 365, 364….

Thank you ever so much to our dear family, Heiko, Araceli, Salvador, Judith, and Ana!

Feliz Ano Nuevo!

Room Tip: Each of the 5 rooms have heated plunge pools with a deck as well as fantastic view to La Ropa Bay!

We recently stayed at Cinco Sentidos for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The hotel is lovely with gorgeous views overlooking Playa la Ropa. Araceli is a wonderful host and she and Ana put together delicious breakfasts for us each morning--in fact, they are out of this world! This was our 4th hotel to try in the Zihua area and we weren't disappointed. The rooms are very large and comfortable and we had an ocean view from our bed. The bathrooms are very large and nice--large shower, separate toilet, double sink, and a very large closet. The plunge pool on our balcony was great for cooling off after a morning walk (and hike up the hill to the hotel). The hotel pool was very nice -- infinity pool with gorgeous views and a wonderful swinging "bed" over the pool, which was very nice. We stayed at the hotel with another couple and had the place to ourselves for the entire trip, which was nice. The only thing I would like to change would be to have some sort of service available after breakfast -- there is no food or drink service after breakfast. We kind of figured that going in, and it was fine -- each room has a mini fridge to stock up. However, after spending 5 nights there, we realized it would have been nice to have the option to order some waters, beers, margaritas, quesadillas, etc. during the day. But other than that, the hotel is perfect! Will definitely return!

Room Tip: We stayed in #4 and it was great. Saw the Grand Suite and quite honestly don't recommend it over #4 or #3 for an additional $100. Not worth it.

My wife and I have stayed at many wonderful places throughout our short but industrious travels. . .and we have never had such a wonderful experience as the one we had here!..... just read the TA reviews .. .you cannot find one bad review (usually you find some common theme but not here!)

We came during off-season and had the whole place to ourselves and in fact where upgraded to the top suite!

If you want to relax and re-connect come here . .. this place is for couples or honeymooners.. . ..we stayed here for a week and did not want to leave.

The place, public spaces, and rooms are meticulously maintained and the views and sunsets are to die for!

The owners/hosts of Cinco Sentidos, Araceli & Heiko, are true "hosts" as they welcome you with their wonderfully big arms!

You have a wonderful creative breakfast every morning and there always is the excitement of what beautiful creation Heiko will create in the AM.

You can also enjoy the wonderful hummingbird feeder and the infinity pool or take a short walk to the nearby beach.

The only "con" and not really big deal is there is no food available after the breakfast but you can either go to the nearby restaurants or take a cab to the nearest supermarket and stock up on food/snacks/drinks as your host encourage it and are ok with you bringing in stuff (we did both in terms of going to nearby restaurants and buying food at the supermarket) and found it wasnt a big deal

We cant wait till we return again as we know we will return. .. . this was an unbelievable experience . .. very tranquil and a beautiful way to "re-charge" our batteries in the most beautiful setting with wonderful hosts. Thank you very much Araceli and Heiko!

Sincerely,
Carlos and Mary

Room Tip: Take cab to nearby supermarket as we walked there and although it is walkable my knowledge in excellent Spanish helped me to ask and "find" it. . .I would recommend taking cab from hotel and back .. .you wont regret it
