Hotel Spa Posada Tlaltenango
Ranked #22 of 59 Hotels in Cuernavaca
Reviewed 27 December 2013

Being in Cuernavaca for business I spent several nights in this quiet and pleasant place, it is really like an oasis in a busy, full of cars, sometimes dirty, dusty city. Beautiful garden, nature, incredible sleep quality, close to the city center. The restaurant meal was of good quality but was grossly overpriced as well as the hotel price itself. However, if discounts are applied the rates look reasonable afterwards.

Room Tip: Room 2 seems very nice.

IF you wanna spend a quiet and nive weekend away from the city, you shoul go to this place. They have a nice spa, with really good massages and treatments. On saturday night they feature dinners on the restaurant terrace and they have live music.

Stayed here for a week, while attending a conference. It was great, and excellent value. It's in a quiet spot off the main street, about 2 miles north of the city centre. It has beautiful grounds, with gardens, a pool and a spa. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast, which is on a terrace overlooking the gardens and pool, is varied -- fresh fruit and a range of "main" dishes (mostly eggs of various kinds and other local specialities -- e.g. the delicious chilaquiles (strips of tortilla simmered in salsa, and served with cheese)). The coffee served at breakfast wasn't great but you can order better coffee (e.g. expresso or capuccino) if you want it. Internet access was a bit variable. Also no tea/coffee making facilities or fridge/minibar in the rooms, but not expected for the price paid for the room.

The Hotel is located close to the entrance with easy acces and sufficient parking. Neigborhood is silent, the patio is nice and the bar service with regard to cold beer is fast and friendly. But the installations are rather old and not very well maintained. The rooms are, depending on the catagory, spartanic and small and the bathroom reminded me to my times at the military service. The blankets were dirty, but the beds were ok. There is a nice Spa, but apparently there is no staff to take care of the guests, so once you red the "spa-menue" and decided for a massage or any other treatment, you will be disappointed.
Next time I'll definitively check on other options for spending a night in Cuernavaca.

The place is a lot smaller than what the actual pictures tell. There is NO hot water in the rooms, they took 2 hours to give us access to the room because they were 'cleaning it'. The Spa is the only decent thing. For the price I'd rather go to Tepoztlan or another nearby city with better hotels.

People were very very kind, even though the reservation was processed wrong (I asked for a jr. suite and instead the travel agency booked a normal room), they managed to make a deal with another hotel and got us a very nice room and breakfast included (since they had no more rooms available there for the next 2 days). We finally managed to get the room we had asked for and all the crew was very polite and friendly with us =)
The bedding is great!!! I had never slept on such a nice bed (it's like sleeping in a cloud ^_^).
I would definitely go there again (but this time, I shall make the reservation directly with them).

Room Tip: Book in advance during high season.
