Every city has its own ghosts stories, and Guadalajara is not the exception, but in particular you should attend to the night visits in the "Panteon de Belen"

The Panteón is being repaired, especially to even walking surfaces. I lucked out today and found a docent who was willing to explain some of the history from near the gate, and when friends of another docent arrived for a tour, I was invited to join the little group. It was one of the most comprehensive and informative cemetery tours that I've taken anywhere in the world! I was asked not to take photos.

a really beautiful place, lots of interesting graves and niches, lots of horror stories to be heard during the guided tours.

What a wonderful adventure. Tour this historical cemetery - by day or night. Be sure to take a translator though. The cemetery is rich with history - including a story of a vampire. It is NOT scary. I'll be going back in the day during my next trip.

Only not sure if they have tours in English. Worth researching!!!! Otherwise, just go with a Spanish speaking friend.
