We're definitely coming back! Esperanza is a wonderful, witty hostess with a gorgeous home she loves to share with others.
Close to shopping, easy to grab a bus or taxi, the house is located in a safe, attractive upperclass neighborhood close to the American Embassy and main arteries into town. She needs to open a cooking school too! I learned how to make several traditional Mexican dishes as she introduced us to new fruits and vegetables. I could stay here for months. Don't miss this one--she has several bedrooms to rent and they're all decorated with local art and textiles.

Room Tip: Some rooms have steps into the bathroom, some have windows to the outside. Ours had neither and was...

Casa Esperanza is like a our own home. Esperanza is very amable and helps in everything. Each home has a different decoration of a Mexico's estate and is very clean. Also Casa Esperanza is close of the best part of Guadalajara, in Colonia Americana, with a lot of tourist points and restaurantes.
I tottaly recommended.

Casa Esperanza is the creation of a lovely woman who shares her knowledge of Mexico's rich history and culture through the decor of this beautiful historic house near the University of Guadalajara.
Each room has its own bath and is decorated with art from each of several of the indigenous cultures of Mexico.
You will enjoy the conversation, the wonderful food, and a beautiful interior courtyard filled with tropical plants. The hosts speak several languages and cater to academic guests. This establishment is probably not suitable for children.

Room Tip: All rooms are comfortable. They are cool during the day and cooler at night. The rooms do not have...
