Incredible interior. You can spend ages inside this church. Taxi there no problem, took bus back as no taxis available. Right beside mine.

“Absolutely stunning”
Reviewed 5 April 2012

A catherdral size church in a small town with wonderful paintings and altars. The view looking down on this church from slightly higher up the hill, with the town in the valley behind it and the mountains beyond that is simply amazing.

“One of the most beautiful churches in Mexico!”
Reviewed 23 January 2012

The 3 Golden Altars is a sight to behold! Great for flash-less pictures and for studing the architecture of the period. Make sure to take a guided tour so they explain the meanings and symbols hidden in the altars.

“Tony's Church”
Reviewed 3 April 2011

This church is in the shape of a cross. Like the San Diago church downtown. Made of carved cantera & wood. In the area of the alter, where the cross meets/crosses, Tony, the guy that had his church built, had the carved wood covered in gold. Tony was mucho richo. it's super E-Z to visit, grab a cab to the Templo San Cayatano/Valenciana. Depending on where you catch the cab, 35-50 pesos. You can take a bus back. the stop is just across the street from the church. The church is closed on Mondays
