“THE BEST BREAKFAST OF ANY HOSTEL”
Reviewed 10 April 2012

Gabriel treats you as family in this very friendly and nice hostel. The breakfast qualifies this hostel as a bed and breakfast. Great location and everyone goes out of their way to help you with anything you need. I came solo and in two days I left with many friends. Great location, great people, and a great time. Thanks Gabriel! I really miss my morning breakfasts and my evening mescal.

My daughter and I found our stay in this hostel to be just what we hoped: friendly and accommodating staff, beautiful room and adjoining patio, incredible chiliquiles and perfectly sliced fruit by Chef Gabriel and endless advice/help/fun conversations with Claudia, Alexandra and Gabriel. We walked to all points of interest and were picked up at the hostel by the tour we elected to join for cultural sites further afield. We slept in quiet and enjoyed the roof-top retreat for journaling. Spotless kitchen, tea, coffee, purified water.

Room Tip: We had the 'suite' and can recommend. The dorms were spotless as well.

Excellent service, very nice people. Save neighnourhood. Clean hostel. I stayed for one week because I had to find a room in Guanajuato. Impressive how Gabriel (the owner) and Alet made me feel at home and helped me around town. Maybe it is just a little bit more expensive then the cheap (and dirty) ones, but it is well worth it and i recommend this place to everyone who wants to stay in Guanajuato!

Room Tip: it is a save and comfortable hostel so the dormitorio with 8 beds is allright, but If you want more...

We enjoyed our stay in December. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was delicious. They have a nice patio with a gorgeous view of the city. The location was good; we walked to the center of the city. The staff was friendly and spoke English. We would stay there again and recommend it to others.

I have been meaning to write a review for some time, my wife and I spent 10 days there near the end of September this year. The people that run the place are friendly and fun, catering to all ages ,we are in our sixties. There are private rooms with shower and Hostel accomodation for younger people. Its easy to walk the 15 minutes into the center of Guanajauto, a beautiful attractive old city.

Great hostel with a lovely terrace, great spot to watch the sun go down in the evenings. The staff are incredibly helpful and will do everything they can to make your stay in Guanajuato fantastic (including helping to book very last minute bus tickets, thanks Claudia!).

I stayed here for 2 nights. It was such a beautiful place, everything is new. They clean the rooms everyday and they give an extra key of the outter door so you can come in and out at any time. Gabriel (one of the owners) is the chef and he is such a nice person to talk to and with a delicious plentyful breakfast everyday!! They also let us keep our lauggage in there for 7 hours after our check-out since our bus left at 11 p.m. Overall this place was a great experience and I think its the best option for travelers in Guanajuato. It has also a very nice terrace with a view and lots of great music to relax and enjoy the mysteries of the city :)
