It was late and we were tired of walking, so this looked like the best bet in the Plaza Jardin. It was not bad...just very ordinary. The food was cafe fare, but at restaurant prices

Good place for drinks and view of the square but the food is at best indifferent. Main courses came a long way apart. First one was luke-warm and sent back. Service poor. We gave up on desert or coffee. When they turned up the volume on the TV screens so you could not hear the surrounding music, that was enough. On balance one to avoid.

We ignored the other, mostly bad, reviews of this restaurant on Trip Advisor and were rewarded with a fine meal on the jardin with a small symphony orchestra playing in the bandstand not 50 feet from our outside table. It is a bit over-priced for Mexico, being in a prime tourist location, but we were in and out for under $60 (about 750 pesos) for appetizers, dinner, drinks (several), including tip. Try the plata mixto Mexicana.

I didn't expect much going in. The place is located right outside the Teatro Juarez in Central. Lovely location and beautiful patio. The food is overpriced of course due to the location but the quality of food and service is super bad. I ordered empanadas that were inedible and exchanged it for a tuna sandwich that was just barely edible. Somehow they they flew by my expectations of bad right into the realm of yuck, ick, terrible. Wouldn't recommend.

We arrived late to GTO so we were starved and picked the first place we saw. The arrachera steak was horrible. The chorizo ok and French fries good. To make things worse there was a table of drunk people next to us and a live mariachi band who was loud and out of key. Not the restaurants fault but given the really bad food it was a really horrible experience.
