This is my favorite place for tamales, quesadillas, pozole (red and green), and corundas. The corundas here are wrapped in acelgas (chard) and covered in a delicious green sauce and lots of cream. They have a wide choice of fillings for the quesadillas, besides the regular meat choices they offer huitlacoche (corn fungus), flor de calabaza (zucchini flowers), mushrooms, rajas (charred green pepper in cream sauce), and more. They also have sweet corn tamales, atole, and delicious jamaica and horchata drinks. The only problem if you don't have a car is the location. Taxi drivers know where they are, but it's hard to find if you try to take a bus. I wish they had a location in the center of Guanajuato, too,
