“Wonderful Murals and More”
Reviewed 29 March 2014

If you are walking from the Centro to say the Alhondiga, this very nice little museum is on the way and you should devote some time to it: Wonderful murals by Chavez Morado, pottery, miniatures, oils and more. The entrance fee is a very reasonable 20 pesos. Also along the Calle Positos is Diego Rivera's house, and museum, which is a nice stop as well. There are interesting shops along Calle Positos for the shopper in you. If you include the wonderful Alhondiga, this makes for a nice day!

“Incredible collection of miniature toys”
Reviewed 10 March 2014

Incredible collection of miniature toys. No need for a translator. I didn't experience my normal "museum fatigue" in this place. It was delightful.

“Behind Those Walls Is A Great Little Museum/Gallery”
Reviewed 5 January 2014

From the outside it doesn't look like much but this museum has a great collection of folk art, including an extensive collection of miniatures, and upstairs beautiful paintings and prints, including a special exhibit on the work of the print maker Posada (think skeletons). My favourite were the oil portraits by Bustos. Also, there is a good deal offered in admission to this facility, as well as the Museum of the Casa of Diego Rivera, and the home (now museum) of the artists Chavez Morados (who founded the Museum of the Pueblo of Guanajuato) and Olga Costos.
