Casa Zuniga is great! Rick and Carmen are friendly and feed you well. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and quiet. The best thing of all is that it is right above downtown. You can have peace and quiet at Casa Zuniga, then walk less than a block, and get on the funicular. The funicular is a small kind of climbing trolley that takes you directly downtown. . . and I mean directly! One minute you are up above looking down on a spectacular view of the city, the next you are right in the middle of everything. Going back to Casa Zuniga is another "beam me up, Scotty" experience. No need for taxis, cars, buses... Definitely stay there!

From first contact to farewell, Casa Zuniga exceeded our expectations! Rick and Carmen take "mi casa es su casa" to a whole new level. Flight delay meant late arrival, but we were warmly greeted and settled in. Our room was beautiful, spacious and the bed very comfortable. We appreciated the fresh flowers and delicious/filtered tap water for drinking and bathing! Our food preferences/needs were "on the menu." Their knowledge of Guanajuato history, suggestions on what to see and do, gave us a broader experience than just following a guidebook. They shared our excitement, but reminded us to relax! The nearby funicular was an quick and economical way to move up and downhill between the heart of the city and Casa Zuniga. The view from Casa Zuniga is post-card worthy, but the beauty and inviting interior of this B&B is remarkable. The only "bad" thing about a stay here is having to leave! Both Rick and Carmen speak both English and Spanish. Casa Zuniga : our friends and home in Guanajuato!

I stayed in Guanajuato city for the first time at this house where I was not only received warmly but also received several advices on how, when and where the best opportunities to enjoy my stay .

Rick and Carmen are the owners of this house where you can find the best deal beginning with a nice tour around the house, around the streets and several places where one could find from souvenirs, old stories and nice food!.

At all times I felt like home and wished I could have stayed more time when I left, but if it is your first time in the city, I highly recommend Casa Zuñiga, ask Rick for his boxing lessons and you might get an extra good memory!.
