“Like staying with friends!”

What can we say? Condesa Haus is amazing, a home away from home! Not only is it located in a fantastic and safe area of Mexico City (close to attractions, great restaurants and bars) but the rooms are exquisite (decorated in a vintage style) and the hosts make you feel as though you are visiting friends or family. Both Fernando, Alessandro and the staff of Condesa Haus speak fluent English and are more than happy to help you with anything you need, whether that be booking a tour, a restaurant, or the best seats at La Lucha Libre. We live in Oaxaca, Mexico and travel to Mexico City frequently and always choose to stay at Condesa Haus. Brad & Meya.

I loved spending a day at the Condesa Haus, personalized service with a unique architecture, made me feel at home, very comfortable rooms but especially enjoy the roof terrace where I could take the sun enjoying a wonderful day.

My son and daughter-in-law are expats, who live in Condesa, about 1 km (0.6 miles) from this place; so, we found its location terrific. Thanks to Fernando and his staff, this was more like a home-stay than staying in an impersonal hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The bathtub in the middle of the room gave it old-world charm. There was a reasonably fast WiFi connection and cable TV in the room. The breakfast menu gave a choice of traditional Mexican and/or Western food.
The cliché is about the "small things making the big difference". For us the last breakfast was in that category. When we told the kitchen staff that my wife likes to eat before travelling, they prepared and left food for our very early departure, hours before the "official" breakfast time.

Room Tip: Being in a "funky" neighbourhood, be prepared for street noise till quite late at night...

I was hosted at Playa del Carmen room.
I like the big balcony with a big chair, high ceeling,
The queen size bed and pillows are very confortable.
It seems was recently remodeled.
Hot breakfast is served and tasted very good.
I like the house architecture.
Definitely a must.

We stayed in condessa haus twice during our trip to central america and would absolutely recommend it. Fernando and the staff were super helpful and made us feel like we were coming home, not simply arriving at another impersonal hotel or guest house. It was in a very safe, funky area and fernando invited us out and showed us some great places to go for food and drinks. We would suggest anyone coming to mexico city to look up fernando and condessa haus! Sarah and Paul

We stayed in Condesa Haus for four nights in September 2013. Firstly, Condesa Haus's location is superb, only two blocks from the Av. Michoacan restaurant district and a 5 minute walk from Patriotismo metro station. We are glad that we stayed in Condesa as it's a bit of an oasis in what is a very busy and often dirty city, and the number of restaurant choices around the area made finding dinner very easy. Secondly, the rooms at Condesa Haus are comfortable and have lots of character, being decorated with vintage/antique furniture and according to a certain theme.

The included daily breakfast was good, with a decent selection of fruit, cereals, cooked breakfasts and a rotating daily special of various Mexican specialities.

However, the best thing about Condesa Haus was the very helpful front desk staff who assisted with restaurant recommendations, taxi bookings, arranging a day trip to Teotihuacan, online checkin, etc. The hospitality they displayed was superb.

Perhaps the only downside is that the rooms facing the street are a little noisy - if you are a light sleeper and/or don't want to use earplugs, best to book one of the rooms facing the back of the building.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the front of the building can be a little noisy due to traffic

Fernando and Alessandro are incredible hosts and make you feel welcome immediately. Throughout they and the entire staff were friendly, courteous, and went out of their way to make our experience in DF one of a kind. My friends and I will definitely be back and I plan on staying at Condesa Haus and their other properties many more times. You can't find better, more welcoming hosts for your trip to Mexico City.

See you again soon!
