clean (althought i found a brazilian coin under the curtain), pretty, nice size, friendly staff, good service.
the neighboroughood is not the best one, avoid walking around at night. and around the hotel is nothing to see ata night... as one hotel guest put it: usually you leave the hotel walking to go for drinks, for disco, for nightlife. here you walk to the catheral for morning mass!
there was no room service but the front desk offered to send a waiter from the adjoining restaurant to our room!
perfect place to see the historic center of mexico city, palacio de bellas artes, palacio nacional, catedral, templo mayor etc.
we also visited the Teotihuacan pyramids with taxi-guide recommended by hotel staff, and it was wonderfull, the guide knew a lot and kept the teenages interested.
a metro station at zocalo, 3 block away, is cheaper and FASTER than taxis due to horrible traffic!More
