Don't really see why people love this site or why its a UNESCO heritage site. Spent a few hours here, maybe i just missed the highlight, or point.

“Great place to walk and look at 1950s architecture”
Reviewed 14 November 2013

It's huge though. The most rewarding wiew of mural tilings on main buildings. Not good places to eat inside but in the neighboorhood is plenty of nice lunch parlors.

“well worth a day”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

My husband and I spent a day on the university campus recently, and loved it. There is a lot to see: the Olympic Stadium, built for the 1968 Olympics (w/Diego Rivera murals), the murals covering the university library walls, the Siquieros mural on the Rectory building, and all of the Centro Cultural Universitario, which consists of the Sala Nezahualcoatl, one of the most beautiful concert halls I have ever seen, the Museo de Arte Contemporaneo, -- VERY contemporary art, and the bonus is the Azul y Oro restaurant, with a lovely outdoor terrace and terrific food. We hired a driver to take us from our hotel to the various locations on the campus, and were glad we did. There is a campus bus, with a number of different routes, that looked to be very efficient, so you could do it that way, but the campus is huge -- 137 hectares, they told us, so you'd need to plan your day carefully to get to everything. Forgot to mention the univ. botanical garden. My husband is an avid botanist, and declared it world-class.
