Excellent hotel. Very clean rooms, modern, relaxing, confortable. Geat service. Enjoyed my stay and will come back. The restaurant could improve its menu though (dinner)
Very good surprise overall. Would outperform most Holiday Inn in the US

The Holiday Inn Plaza Universidad is an excellent hotel for business travellers. The rooms offer a spacious desk, fast and reliable Wifi Internet access, ironing equipment etc.
The breakfast buffet includes pretty much anything one can think of. Worthwhile mentioning is the great selection of tropical fruit and freshly squeezed juices. The service is top class.
The gym only has cardio machines, no equipment with weights.

The hotel is located just two blocks from the excellent and safe subway, one block from a nice mall and a Wal-Mart.
The Coyoacan area with the Frida Kahlo and Leo Trotzki Museums is only 2 km away and can easily be reached by subway.

The hotel is definitely a good pick when doing business in the South of Mexico City.

This was our fourth stay in this hotel, which has become our home away from home in Mexico D. F.
The location is good, across from a shopping mall, and a block away from a Walmart ( supply of bottled water, and many other needs).
It is close to Churches, a Metro station, and very good restaurants. While it is not the most luxurious part of the D. F. , it offers a good value for your money.

On the positive side: the restaurant provides excellent Mexican breakfast, but also services lunch, dinner, and are very accommodating to off-hours request.
The personnel is exquisitely friendly.
We felt very safe in the area, even at night.
The room has a safe box.
There is a gym.
The hotel is reasonably priced, and, dare I say, inexpensive for US and European travelers.
On the negative, the room service was rather slow. The. WIFI ( it was included) was very user-unfriendly , and only worked intermittently.
In summary, I intend to return upon. my next visit.

Rooms, restaurant and hotel lobby have been renewed recently, so everything looks great. The staff is helpful. For the location, I expected a bit lower prices. At walking distance, you got two metro stations and the possibility to go all around Mexico City.

Modern and clean installations. Good restaurant, but a little expensive for what they offer. The main issue is that there are no minibar in the rooms. People were very respectfull and measured no efforts to give you a nice stay.

The Holiday Inn is an efficient business hotel: the rooms are functional and of good design. The staff are helpful and professional.

Standard rooms come with a large desk. Wifi Internet is free of cost and really high speed. What I did not like about the rooms was the bright cold light of most lamps and the fact that the windows cannot be opened. The gym is small and has four cardio-machines. If you like to work out your muscles, you have to do push-ups.

The restaurant offers a la carte and a large buffet. Breakfast buffet is excellent, however, there is always TV noise around, so it is not really relaxing.

For work this hotel was reasonable location, 8 minutes walk from Subway zapata. Room was large, with very large bed with interesting red accent lighting around the wall. Bathroom was always immaculately replenished of towels and toiletries every day, corridor was quiet if you put the sign on your door. Breakfast very many options downstairs of fruit or mixed continental. Room service was slow and often not complete. otherwise, bureau de change and taxis in foyer all excellent.
