“Beautiful hotel - but don't use their airport pickup service!”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

I stay in the Four Seasons every year. It is really a beautiful hotel, with spotlessly clean and very comfortable guest rooms. I spend about 70 nights a year in hotels, and this is one of my favorites.
But I have one comment that I need to pass on. You can get a taxi from the airport to the hotel for around 200 Pesos. A hotel-provided car is nearly 1500 Pesos! I know that the hotel car is a lot nicer, but 7.5 times the price?? I think not.
Other than that though, I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

We decided to visit Mexico City for our 45th wedding anniversary and chose the Four Seasons for this special event, which was noted on the reservation form. We thought that perhaps we would receive some sort of small acknowledgement sent to the room.

We were quite surprised and appreciative of the attention to detail by the staff. Reception greeted us with a casual comment about the anniversary. Several staff members signed a lovely congratulations card; Reforma 500 restaurant comp'd us with a delicious chocolate pate dessert. Other staff members stopped us in the halls to wish us a happy anniversary; we aren't sure how those people even knew of our special day.

Before arriving, we asked for suggestions for sightseeing. A package of information was emailed, we made our selections. The concierge arranged 4 days of sightseeing with a driver/guide who was knowledgeable and a safe driver. The tours were interesting and varied. We moved at our own pace; we saw and did a lot.

The cleaning schedule for our particular room was about 3:30 in the afternoon. We asked for an earlier housekeeping time. Done! Immediately changed. And, the change made for an more enjoyable stay. They also adjusted the time for the nightly turn-down service.

The 4 Seasons, Mexico City, is one of the best, anywhere! The employees are friendly, but not overly. English, if needed, is spoken. The rooms were well-appointed, comfortable. We thought the room was a little stale upon arrival, but after one day of occupancy, housekeeping had it refreshed.

There is a huge construction site near the hotel. We were not on the side of the hotel that could observe the construction from our room. And, although it seemed like they worked 24/7 and we slept with our windows open, we did not find the noise obtrusive. At night, they did 'quiet' work...whatever that would be on a construction site.

After asking on the first day for 'margaritas' to be made with vodka, not tequila, for the rest of our stay, the wait staff would inquire as to whether we wanted the usual. We were impressed with the level of service and that the rotating staff remembered our preferences. The restaurant and bar have different menus and indoor/outdoor seating. All the food was excellent and nicely presented; the service was very professional.

The Four Seasons, Mexico City, is all about serving and pleasing....just ask. But don't be surprised if they have already anticipated and surpassed your expectations.

Thank you to all who made our stay so memorable.

Room Tip: To avoid hearing street noises, request a garden view room. Some rooms are quite far from the eleva...

Great location. Walking distance to some key spots. Slightly older rooms, but good size. Went with friends, so was able to get connecting rooms. Nice to have a pool and hot tub in the city. Great food and cocktails at the restaurant.

I stayed here a few times and I have to say that I very rarely encountered service of this level anywhere in the world. The rooms are beautiful and almost all face the incredible garden in the middle which is an island of peace in the middle of the this chaotic city. Having said that the noise from the construction of the gigantic tower being built next door was a real drawdown. It would probably suffice to lower the rating I gave the hotel, but, let's face it, this is not the hotel's fault!
Food at the restaurant was excellent and all the amenities are first class.
Another word of criticism: No loyalty points???
I would really like to thank the reception employees. They exceeded by far my expectations.

Room Tip: Ask to be closer to the elevators. The walks could be quite long. Find out if the construction is s...

Anyone who travels frequently has established certain parameters in accommodations and service which becomes a required must. This Four Seasons has far exceeded our expectations being a hotel in the largest city in the world. The rooms are spacious and the service top drawer, and always with a smile. We brought our children so we were 6 in total and were concerned about getting around but the hotel has all that covered, with private luxury guided tours and transportation, thank you Reymundo for being our driver and tour guide to Teotihucan, your enthusiasm, kindness and dedication are reflected in your 30 years experience. Other resorts and hotels should go and take lessons from the staff here to see and learn what customer service is all about and how important a smile is. We enjoyed our stay here along with our children and can't wait to go back to Mexico City. Forget what you here on the news and go to this spectacular place full of history, culture and the best culinary experiences on the planet. Congratulations Four Seasons Reforma, ten out of ten

I attended a business seminar here and this hotel is 100% first class. The grounds and rooms were all impeccable. Breakfast was first class as was all the food, and they served a very nice Pinot Noir from Oregon in the bar. Perfecto

Excellent service and classic four seasons environment/facilities. Concierge staff was excellent in their recommendations as to local restaurants. The location is very convenient and I found the area to be safe. I arranged roundtrip transportation thru the hotel from the airport, and found it very professional and offered peace of mind in the DF.
