“Pretty good, does what it says on the tin.”
Reviewed 12 October 2013

I stayed here for ten days on business recently.

Yes, as previous reviewers have mentioned the reception is in a state of renovation at time of writing, but it doesn't really effect the day to day running of the place.

The room was adequate, air con worked fine, clean and quiet. The building wobbled 24 stories up when a small earth quake hit in the middle of the night, but I guess that's par for the course in Mexico!

Breakfast is a little pricey, but then again, when isn't it at this range of hotel?

The El Jardin restaurant is a bit lack lustre during the renovations, big white walls, club sandwich was plentiful but nothing to write home about. There was a conference on during my stay which it seemed they struggled to cope with, resulting in a queue for breakfast of about 10-15 people - luckily I was going in earlier so didn't have to queue (<7am).

Check in and check out where a little on the long side ~ 10 mins, I'm sure it could have been done faster.

I had some laundry done on two occasions, all fine.

All in all a reasonable choice hotel for location, friendly staff, does what it's supposed to on the tin.

Room Tip: The higher the second two digits, the further you are away from the lift, i.e xx01 would be next to...

One of the best luxury hotel I have been recently to for business purposes. Great service, very well located with after work walking distance activities including Museo Antropologico. Rooms very well set, and full choice for breakfast, also great Japanese restaurant.

I first stayed in this hotel when it was The Nikko. It changed to Hyatt Regency over a year ago and is now going through a major renovation in the lobby area. They are doing the best they can to manage through the renovation and it was of little inconvenience to me during my stay. It appears the large, open lobby will be even nicer when completed. Reception and check-in are temporarily on the 2nd floor. The location is convenient for my business needs. There is a small 7-Eleven across the street and some restaurants in walking distance.

Room Tip: I prefer the park view

I have stayed several times and although people mention that it is not as good as when Nikko, and theyh are right, but it is still a decent Hotel. Good for getting round Mexico DF as it is pretty well placed.

I was on a business trip and the local office arranged for us to stay at the Hyatt Regency. Location was close to a nice park and aviary. Plenty of hotels at a walking distance of 5 - 10 minutes. The restaurant itself serves good breakfast with a large spread of American, Mexican options. I've heard great reviews about the Japanese restaurants but haven't had the chance to try it. On my list for my next trip!

A great business hotel, excellent location, walking distance to fantastic restaurants and exclusive, glamorous shopping. I'm more into restaurants. Very safe neighborhood.

Comfortable (slightly on the small side) rooms, equipped with all the expected basics. Excellent gym with indoor lap pool.

The hotel sushi restaurant had some of the absolute best sushi I've tried outside of Japan. Expensive. Killer pastries in the little lobby shop.

The cost is reasonable for what you expect for corporate travel. For personal (budget depending, of course) - I'd probably look at smaller hotels in the same area.

This has been my first stay in the new Hyatt in Mexico (formerly Nikko Hotel) and the experience has been very nice. New and nice room with all the facilities which you need in a business travel. Breakfast has been really excelent with international and mexican food. The hotel is still uppgrading so that it promise to be a very good option to stay in DF in business or leisure visit.
