The Spa has a certification but this does not matter, the place does not worth the visit. It is in bad shape, dark, old and very small. The staff does not provide information but the therapists are not bad. No, the spa is not good, the Melia's is by far much better.

Hello fellow travelers, I stayed at this property in Nov. 2012. This hotel has an amazing restaurant that is decorated beautifully and rooms are very nice too. The hotel is several blocks walking distance to the Four Seasons Hotel which confirms good location. The hotel staff was very kind in assisting with car service to tour Mexico City as well as airport transportation services. I felt safe at all times. At this price, it's tough to beat.

I will certainly stay here for my next trip again.

I stayed here for 2 separate 3-week stretches in the summer of 2011 for business. The staff were very friendly, everything was very clean and done well. Room decor did feel dated, perhaps that has changed now. There was a nice big TV in the room, although on my first trip one had HDMI for me to hook up my laptop to watch movies, the other did not. It was also tough sometimes to do work in the room with a glass-topped table that was rectangular in the first room, and circular in the second. It was also tough to juggle a laptop, some papers, and anything else on the table, like dinner or drinks. The turndown service became a bit of an annoyance and I eventually stopped using it. The water in the room was nice, but I had been told by a coworker who stayed there in the past to get a bigger bottle of water to use for brushing teeth or drinking as you get charged after the 2 bottles get used. I ate almost all my meals here, and it is a bit on the expensive side and the burgers tasted 'off' (perhaps it was the spicing used?). I echo the comments of others that a single-serve coffee maker would be most appreciated, and a reduction of the 80s style stocked bar and fridge in the room, as well as the option to buy just about anything provided in the room.

Check-in and out was very good, I had no problem with getting set up in the room, and did not find it to be cramped like others. The shower did have a large step-over to get in, but I'm a tall guy and didn't have problems.

It was also appreciated to get some English TV stations in the room, so I could keep up with some news and watch some shows. It was odd when some porn came on around 10pm one night though!

I also was a bit disappointed in the pricing on the Internet. In today's age I would expect that to be provided at no charge. However, I was not footing the bill so it didn't bother me too much.

You're close to some attractions, food, and a convenience store. I was using a driver service while there so I can't comment on prices for anything.

The bellhop started to recognize me after a few days so that was nice and made me feel comfortable.

The A/C was very cold (not a bad thing when there in the summer) but I did eventually have to start wearing a sweatshirt in the room due to it (but only because I was working all day in the room and didn't leave). Having an opening window was also nice to let in some air early in the morning and at night.

I would recommend staying here while on business.

This is a very nice hotel, good service, good rooms. The only problem from my point of view (nothing wrong with the hotel) is that it's a little bit expensive and not much value for a conscious user looking for a balance in price and quality. I knew internet was not provided, but I think for the price, they should definitely throw it in.

Room Tip: Better if you don't face main street to avoid noises.

For US travelers, I would say this is the equivalent of a Westin in terms of quality and luxury. My room was very spacious and clean. Nice décor. Super friendly service. You get your slippers, bathrobe, turndown service, etc. etc.

The hotel is in Paseo de la Reforma, a very convenient location for business and tourist travelers.

Valet parking at the garage was $8 US per night, very reasonable. The bar was open until late and had good food.

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2013

I just completed a 5 night stay at this hotel and found it's 4+ star rating a bit exaggerated. The hotel is nice enough although a rather dated formal interior (no design awards here). The staff were all friendly although hesitant to recommend a breakfast place outside of the hotel and no one could give us accurate information about catching a bus to Centro Santa Fe. The room was comfortable and very clean...but....a few things seemed obviously out of step. There is no coffee maker in the room, meaning you need to either order room service (expensive) or leave your room in the morning when you want your first cup. I can not remember the last hotel I stayed in that did not have in-room coffee makers. There was a ridiculously huge mini bar selection including teddy bears, art nouveau mirrors????, t-shirts...all kinds of expensive souvenirs but no space for a free cup of coffee with your room? Secondly, I was stunned that you did not have the option to reuse your towels, something I thought all hotels had adopted in this environmentally conscious age. Not only does the hotel not have a towel program in place but there is only one small towel bar so for a couple you have no choice but to leave your towel on the floor. It seems like the hotel is set up more for a single-person, expense account, business crowd than vacationing couples. Regardless, the one aspect of the hotel that was really annoying was the design of the room entries. We stayed in a room that shared a small vestibule off the main hallway with an adjacent room. The problem was that the vestibule acted as a sound amplifier, so that every time the people in the adjacent room entered or left the sound of the door opening and closing was extreme. And the people staying in the room adjacent ours unfortunately entered their room every night between 3 and 4 am, first lingering in the vestibule chatting and laughing with friends.....they may as well have been inside our room. I have never experienced a hotel room with such bad noise transference from the hallway. We did ask the front desk to let the people in the room know about the sound travelling, but it did nothing to affect their nightly routine, so we were woken up in the middle of the night every night of our stay. This alone would prevent us from staying here again.

Room Tip: If you must stay here be sure NOT to get a room with a shared entry vestibule!!!!!
