i have stayed here a lot over the years but the hotel is going through problems and it shows. place is starting to look tired and it is not cheap. the 70 dollar room is small and the jr. suites in the back are almost $100.00.
The management just won't change and are starting to get really cheap-skimping on water, toilet paper, no cloth napkins at the restaurant. dinner is around $20.00 and they want you to use tiny paper napkins. and the place is not as clean as it used to be-tired carpeting, bedspreads, bad internet service but the thing that I can no longer tolerate is the managements refusal to have non smoking sections. the smell of cigarettes is everywhere!
it just creeps into your room and even when the hotel is empty, there will be a chain smoker next to you. The management is old school Spanish-from Spain and they will allow smoking cigars anywhere. It is getting disgusting.
The restaurant is expensive and boring. I am glad to see options opening up in Mexico City.
