“Not to be missed”

"The Blue House", situated in the suburb Coyacán only a short walk from the main square in Coyoacan, which was her childhood home. Later she lived there together with her husband, Diego Rivera, until his death in 1954. The museum houses an interesting collection of Mexican folk art and antiques. Part of the house is still as when she died in 1954. Especially in the kitchen, dining room and bedroom one still sense even today her strong personality.
The house itself and the garden are beautiful

“Interesting life and art”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

The Frida Kahlo museum was pretty amazing. Fairly popular with a line - it houses some of her first work and studio. there is also some interesting paintings by Rivera there. Her studio (very interesting ) and bedrooms are displayed - exactly as they were when she lived there - by the way, any photos you see of her were probably taken there. You see the garden where her monkeys goats etc roamed and various pre-columbian statues there as well. The only drawback was the size and inventory of the retail store - not very well-stocked. Other than that, well worth the trip!

“Enchanting”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

We loved this museum, visited on our last morning in Mexico City. It was Kahlo's house where she lived with Diego Rivera until her death. Her studio has been maintained as it was when she last painted there, and the rest of the house maintained as it was used, showing the kitchen with their utensils, the various bedrooms, and all adorned with photos, paintings, books and clothing and jewellery and other items pretty much from her childhood until her death. Very interesting and well worth the visit.

“MUST see if you love art”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Visiting this house which is just as it was in Frida's time makes you imagine what it must have been like in those days / not only can you see where she painted and slept but her restraints, clothes, jewellery and other possessions are there too. Don-t miss her ashes, which are in her bedroom in an urn on the desk. I really enjoyed the place - Don-t go if you expect to see only her paintings. There are a few minor ones, this is just Frida's house with her eccentric touch

“So Many Photos!”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

I couldn't help but take many photos at this museum. Everywhere I turned there was something interesting, unusual or beautiful to see. At the time we visited, a special exhibit with Frida's clothes and accessories was featured. Really enjoyed this. Check out the gift shop where I bought a Frida Kahlo paper doll.
