“Small/Different”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

This is an interesting museum that was walking distance from ny hotel and is also very near other great places in the heart of Mexico City. it is an interesting building w/some fine exhibits, but I found it a bit unusual to get around--it didn't flow naturally but a good mix of things to see. Not near the caliber of Prado as someone else mentioned, but definitely worth visiting

“Restaurant is the best thing about this museum”
Reviewed 20 October 2013

I say this mostly because I'm not a big fan of religious art, silver church ornaments, tableware, gilded mirrors and heavy carved wood furniture and doors. Having just visited The Prado in Madrid, the art here pales in comparison. But, the restaurant is fantastic and reasonably priced. Great salad adorned with cranberries, nuts, fresh apples, and a homemade vinaigrette for 50 pesos. The chicken mole empanada was delicious. The outdoor dining patio is stunning.

“Beautiful building”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

The building is a colonial house, beautiful, high ceiling, original wood and floors.
The collection is not so impressive.
It is a little confusing where to walk and not repeat a room. The talavera ceramic collecting is great.

“Always go to the World Press Photos Exhibit ...”
Reviewed 13 August 2013

Every year pretty much I head to see the World Press Photos Exhibit. The exhibit is always nice and the museum has a wonderful layout and a nice courtyard.

A recommended visit if you are in the Historical Center of Mexico City.

“Very Nice Little Special Museum”
Reviewed 22 July 2013

I went to the Museum to see an exposition my friend was participating in. it was a very modern one and i was surprise to find a huge collection in the building of very old fashion art and furniture. this museum is not big and therefore is very nice and light.
