I have stayed at the Royal many times, 11 years ago I practically lived there for 6 months. The rooms are large and clean, and the service is excellent from the bellboys to room service and the lobby staff, too bad they don't have a rewards program otherwise I would have plenty of free nights. The hotel is old now, but they made a big renovation changing all the carpets and TV's, however they took out the movies system which I used to like. The only con I found this last time is that the undersheets for the beds are still super old, they need to change this ASAP, and also the A/C was making strange noises during the night. But is by far the best option in the south of the city, way better than camino real or radisson

Room Tip: Ask for a view to Jardines en la Montana, and if you can get a junior suite is worth every extra pes...

I stay at Royal Pedregal every November for a conference. I'm not a big fan of this hotel. While it is definitely clean and comfortable, it could use some major updates. The hotel appears to have been decorated and furnished in the 1980s without many major updates since then.

Giving credit where it is due - the front desk staff is almost entirely bilingual which is a big help for international travelers. The hotel restaurant is also pretty good.

If you are staying in this part of the city and you have a choice, I recommend looking at all of your options before staying here.

This is an excellent business type hotel located in the southern part of Mexico City. The room was beautiful, large and luxurious. The hotel lobby had a bar and an attractive restaurant on the first level. There was a heated pool, gym and spa. All the common areas were attractive and clean!

Stayed at the Royal Pedregal on a business trip. It has a beautiful resort-style feel with friendly staff. The rooms were roomy and well-appointed. I used the business center and spa (great massages for a reasonable price: a wonderful bonus on a business trip at the end of a long day!). We got taxis easily to get to where we needed to go. Some of the staff spoke English, most didn't.

The only two issues: if you're going on a personal trip, it's not the closest hotel to the best sights and sounds of Mexico City: the square, old Cathedral, museums etc. They can easily be a 45 min ride away in Mexico City traffic. Also, the food in the hotel was a downer. It was tasty but there was very little Mexican food at all, it seemed like it catered more to foreign business travelers and upscale, very Westernized Mexicans who ate mostly Western food. There were a couple of good Mexican breakfast items though, and amazing mixed fresh fruit juices...definitely eat elsewhere when you can if you stay there to get more diversity.

I was staying to this Hotel for Business for 4 weeks in a month. The hotel has all the amenities as advertized and all of them at a good standard.

Its a Hotel in the Pedregal area so its not in the center and its not recomended for visiting the center of Mexico DF. Its right on the outside motorway ring close to business district and close to Six Flags park.

Hotel staff is friendly and ready to help you however English is ok but not their most string point.Speaking spanish will help you. Rooms are spacious and have iron board, safe (really important to have) and hair dryer. Room service is fast and almost all the selection form the inhouse restaurant is there.

The gym is good with treading mills and stepers and you have 6 TV screen to choose from. Its open from 6am till 22.00 so its quite convinient to use. It has an outdoor and indoor pool that I havent used but looked clean and tidy.

Overall a good experience for busyness mostly as its far from the center and limited things to do arround (unless you are into shopping as tehre are many shopping malls arround)
