“Great Value and Solid”
Reviewed 7 September 2013

I've stayed at this hotel twice. First time was because KLM forced a mis-connection on my flight and I stayed an extra night at my own expense because I decided to explore. Most recently, I went back because I found a great price on-line. This property is a bit oaf a diamond in the rough. It's in a convenient location (with restaurants, shopping, US Embassy and bars and cafes a short walk out the door). The staff is very professional. The rooms are very clean. The restaurant is open 24 hours. Sure, it's a bit dated, the elevator a little slow and they still use room keys and not cards. But it is a superb value. There are always staff available to get you a taxi, help with luggage, room service, etc. They have flat screen televisions, but just a few Spanish only channels. Anyway, the Wifi is included and very reliable. I would definitely stay here again. The best thing about the restaurant is it is open 24 hours, but otherwise, I'd eat elsewhere during regular hours.

In Colombia (where we live) the Zona Rosa is the trendy area with all the cool bars and restaurants. In DF it is literally the pink zone, with emphasis on the pink. As gay travellers I say that with great respect. :-) A great gay heart of the city, but we had no idea. Partly due to poor research, partly due to being confused with Bogotan terminology in a different context. But we had a great time in this Colonia - and the hotel is a good budget hotel.

Very good budget hotel. Close to everything, 10 minutes taxi ride to all famous touristic attractions. Location, location, location! Good size room, will need update in a few years.
Air dryer, ironing board, many things you will find in a more expensive hotel. Free in room safe, but you need to ask for the lock. Only negative point: Erratic internet, need to be improved, but it's also free.

rooms comfortable, good bathrooms, great shower, good location, very friendly staff throughout. Highly recommended as good value. Swimming pool really a paddling pool as only 2ft 6ins deep but still good on a hot day. Good sized bedrooms, lots of food and banks nearby, very close to Metro underground which I found very quick and easy .. only 3 pesos to go anywhere ... although sometimes a bit busy.

If you're looking for a place to sleep in a great location.....this is the place.....
The room is clean.......bathroom is clean...hallway is clean.....and location is perfect....

The staff were super friendly....We needed to go to Basilica de Guadalupe.....they told us don't take the metro...instead take the bus RTP.......and we took his advice and we're glad we did......the bus was clean...safe and cheap.....only MXN$2/person/way.....
Whenever we need something they're there to help you......

The room was kinda old....specially the bathroom.....I love the big huge circle bathtub though.... Plenty of pillows on the bed....Mattress is kinda in the hard side.....room is kinda small compared to the 1st time we stayed 2 years ago....TV channels is kinda boring...not to much to watch.....door is kinda thin.....you can hear what ppl say inside the room when you pass by a room.....balcony was great.....Safety box didn't have any lock....we stayed on the 8th floor....and great view....AC was not working great..it was kinda hot when we slept at nite.....we were thinking to open the balcony door but it was kinda noisy with the police sirens and all ....
The Lobby though.......has some weird odor.....Don't know if it's from the kitchen.but it didn't really smell good....
There are 2 elevators...but 1 of them were not working when we were there.......so it took quite a while for the elevators....

Swimming pool was nice...on the rooftop...but it was kinda small and the water was super cold....

F&B didn't try it....so no comment on this.....

Overall stay....was pretty good....no much of a complain.....
Just advice.......i got my wallet stolen while walking from the hotel to have lunch....just be aware when you walk in Zona Rosa......avoid crowds of ppl......

Hard to say if it's a good three star hotel or an old 4 stars that does not deserve them anymore. But if you go there don't care for this issue. Just a great location and clean rooms, with good bathrooms. Everything is a bit old but that has it's character too. Every room has a balcony which is great. Ask for a room as high as possible. The higher the room, the better the view. And the silence. Very close to the metro station. Front desk service is rather poor, but breakfast is a good value. Forget about the swimming pool on the roof: very small and cold. Next time I go to DF I definitely stay there... if they still have great promo prices on the web (rack prices at front desk are definitely too high for what you get). i had an approx 65 dollars per room and per night price which was a great value!

Room Tip: The higher in the building the better the view (and more quiet)

This hotel was in a perfect location for our first visit to Mexico City. It is located right in town (one of them) we spent most of our trip walking and saw so much! Very low price for our room and the hotel was beautiful!! we will deffinately stay again if we make it back to Mexico City.
