Been past here many times. And would not have stayed here as I am a regular at the Marquis Reforma. However, this was close to a friend staying at an adjacent hotel so gave it a try. It was surprisingly good. Rooms were very well equipped, a little on the small side but comfortable.
The only negative negative was when we returned from dinner there used newspapers in the lobby that had not been picked up. They were still there in the morning. The night staff need to be better trained.

It is a pleasant and centrally located hotel. The buffet breakfast is just fabulous; fresh fruit and lovely Mexican traditional food. Staff is very helpful and it’s good value for money. I definitely will go back to Emporio Reforma Hotel in Mexico City.

Stayed there for 1 night after business trip to be closer to the center. Location is great for exploring on foot but keep in mind possibility of traffic jams if you need to get somewhere in the evening. My standard room was tiny. Ok for one person but certainly small for two. According to fire escape plan other rooms are also small. The staff was great! The hotel positions itself as 5 star. The size of the rooms is certainly not there, but staff tries hard to compensate for it with great service. Couple years ago I stayed in St. Regis two blocks down the street and the service is comparable despite x4 price difference! Bathroom entrance is funny - looked like wardeobe. Toilet seat was quite comfortable, nice ergonomic shape. The restaurant is big and apparently is the place of choice on a lunchbreak for local business people, Spagetti Marinera was not good - they put unpeeled king prowns there apparently for decoration as you cant peel them without getting messy in cream souce! But the stake was good.

It doesn't look like much from the outside -- a small facade near one of the busiest intersection in the city. But inside there is a spacious business hotel. The rooms are reasonably big, modern, and comfortable. The hotel has reliable wifi, free computers with printers in the lobby, a small gym that's open 24 hours, and a tasty breakfast buffet -- all except the last are free.

The location is safe and pretty convenient -- it is easy to get to the Roma and Zona Rosa neighborhoods, and if you don't mind a bit of a walk, you can get to the historical center on foot; otherwise it is a shorter walk to the metro plus a short ride.

This is the only business hotel I've used in Mexico, and there are several others from the major business hotel chains within a few blocks of this one -- so it may be best to look at them as a group at shop by price.
Like many hotels in Mexico, the posted rate (for "walk-ins") is outrageous, but over the net there were offers at less than half that price.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel, found the rooms very comfortable and well looked after with great bathrooms, and the staff helpful and attentive.
It's not a big hotel and the rooms aren't large but they are well planned and make clever use of the space. The only aspect that bothered me was that the ceilings were a little low which gave an ever so slight feeling of being cramped.
There were a couple of problems with my room key routinely not working which tried my patience, but they were minor details. I found the location to be safe (I was travelling on my own and it has been years since my last visit to DF so I'm not that familiar with the city), convenient to Chapultepec and el centro histórico, and I was able to walk to these areas easily.
Overall, good value
