I just stayed at the Hotel Imperial for 4 nights. Tasty "Spanish" restaurant on premise. The room was clean and bright. I think it had been remodeled which i liked. The sheets were heavenly, super soft and comfy. Our room was located on the first floor, my friend said its was too loud for her.. Luckily she brought along some ear plugs. She says she slept like a baby. As did i and no plugs were needed. The air conditioner worked perfectly and did not smell moldy which i have experienced in other mexican hotels. The chamber maid was super cheerful and jump at our every request. ie. iron, more towels, ice and bathroom accoutrements, i.e. shampoo, conditioner, tissues.
An OXXO (like a 7-11) is located downstairs and two doors over for coffee, snacks and refreshments-super handy. The Turibus the double decker red bus that tours the city can be caught almost in front of this hotel.. A coffee bar is located 1/2 block down with out door tables and chairs to enjoy the hustle and bustle of REforma.. a Beautiful European Blvd. I had a great time and look forward to visiting again sometime in the future.

Room Tip: this hotel is located on the busy blvd of the REFORMA ear plugs maybe needed to void out the sound of HONKING HORNS.. :)

This place was recommended to me by a friend. The building is very very nice the rooms are quite large. The internet sucks and cuts out all the time. My room did have a bath in it but there was no way you could soak in the tub it was very very small. The bathrooms should really be renovated. The furniture and beds are very old but I guess this can add to the charm. Overall not a bad place to stay and the location is great!

We booked this hotel online and it was very well priced. We were so surprised, 1st off by the helpful staff then we were awed by the huge room! Super cool place with alot of the original character. We loved the place and wish we could have stayed rather than switch to the Emporio.
We had no issues with the internet and they give you free access to their own computers at any time. We didn't try the buffet but it looked amazing as well. The hotel is really close to metro, lots of attractions and within range of some great ethnic restaurants!
We will definitely book the Imperial if back in Mexico city.

Room Tip: we had the corner room which is maybe why it was so big.

They do a very good job at trying to make this an upscale place. The location is pretty good but other places have better location. Rooms are so so. Food is pretty good (breakfast). good service. Not bad for the price.

This is one of my favorite hotels in Mexico City for its location and price. I have had good experience with it but some of my fellow travelers have complain that they have seen cochroaches in their room and that their bedsheets were so worn out that they ripped easely when they got in bed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room free of cockroaches
