This hotel is well situated just on the edge of the Zona Rosa where it is difficult to get affordable accomodation. It is 2 mins from the metro and was possible to walk to many attractions

It is not however a 4 star which it is advertised as. By European standards I would classify it as 2/3 star The rooms are a bit worn and the beds very hard. In saying that it is reasonable value and the staff were helpful. There is also separate supply of purified water to the room which is helpful

-bad shores experience: terrible toilet paper, hairdryer not working, low water pressure, smallest towels that i ever seen (at least there is 3, maybe i can make some origami to use them)
-price is ok, but its possible to find a better cost benefit option. definitively not 4 stars (as booking.com classifies it)
+have a good closet
+is good located (very close to metro station, but there's some leak of light in the path)

Good location and price, poor on the room quality and some floors smell a little bit smoky. I tried the breakfasts and they are tasty and filling for a good price.

Have had occasion to stay at Hotel Segovia four times in my travels. It is just across, (a very busy), street from Zona Rosa and close to the metro station. It is a good place to stay when flying into Mexico City and before heading out to other parts of the country. It is a very excellent value. The same room, across the street in Zona Rosa would cost three or four times as much. Next time I stay in Mexico City, I will be staying at Hotel Segovia.

Flying 3 days and 2 nights for a wedding to Mexico City we ended making reservations in Segovia Regency by reading TripAdvisor's reviews and because Hotel is located near the location where the wedding took place (also got to give credit to the price).

I'll have to say that the hotel is a perfect option for traveler's on a budget, what you see (pay) is what you get. The hotel is well located, just a 2 minute walk from Insurgentes Station where you can take the metro (subway) or the metro bus (trolley) and which connects you directly with blue and green line that will leave you in Zocalo in no time. It's 10 minute walk from Zona Rosa and Reforma Avenue, 20 minutes walk from Chapultepec. Basically everything is near.

The hotel was always clean, rooms offered basic amenities and WiFi signal was always strong. Personnel was always attentive and kind, the restaurant of the hotel serves basic meals for very reasonable prices. For those foreigners concerned with Mexico's tap water quality, Hotel Segovia Regency offers free purify water in every room. Room service and 24 hours open front desk.

Now, they're some things that you should consider before staying in my opinion: 1. the hotel needs to be remodeled, furniture (including beds) and rooms are quite old, it's not only a visual thing it's has to do with functionality and comfort. 2. the hotel doesn't have either an air conditioning system nor heating. 3. Room ventilation depends on windows. 4. Bathrooms are not the most attractive ones. 5. Rooms need to be soundproofed (heard noises almost every time while in the room).

Overall a decent and basic place not luxurious or trendy at all. If money is not a problem or you're willing to pay 100 or 200 pesos more for a room try another hotel (we payed around 500 pesos for a night). We were on a hurry and couldn't find vacancy in our first option yet Segovia Regency is a the perfect spot for travelers on a budget. It offers a good value for what you pay.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the smoking room.

Segovia is a great place to stay in Mexico City. The price of the rooms is very accesible, they are all clean, no weird smells, purified water, tv, room service, the only downsize to it is that is is next to a road with lots of traffic so if you have problems falling asleep because of the noise, maybe check another place that is not so centric.

What we enjoyed the most from this hotel was the location. One block away you have the insurgentes subway stop, so you don't need to use a cab at all. Also 2 blocks away there is the zona rosa were you will find different restaurants, stores and malls.

Next time I go to mexico city I'll probably try to get a reservation in this hotel.
