We stayed at Isaaya for a week. The service was perfect, the hotel was very modern, very clean, extremely comfortable bed, amazing shower, excellent staff. Even the food tasted fantastic. Truly one of the best places to stay at. I was NOT disappointed at all and I will most certainly stay here again.

I suspect some of the glowing reviews for this hotel are not authentic. A 3-star hotel? Yes. The #1 hotel in Mexico City? Not even close. I've stayed at many, many better ones.

First, the good: It's within 10-15 minute walk to the Roma area and slightly further to Condesa. We actually walked to Polanco from here as well, but that takes much, much longer. There are many chain restaurants nearby, but also nice local cafes too. The location is amazing, but for the price you pay (plus with how cheap Uber is in DF), you can easily get where you need to go without spending big money. Hotel is overall very clean.

The bad: I think this hotel is still recovering from the earthquake, so be aware. The scariest part of an earthquake isn't necessarily buildings crumbling (although you will notice some physical damage to the drywall in most rooms here); it's gas leaks which can lead to explosions. The fire alarm went off twice while we were here, and while the hotel staff assured us they were false alarms, they also went around to each room to ensure no one smelled gas. Glad they did that, but also not very reassuring.

Everything is automated in the rooms. Sounds cool, but not all of it functions properly. For example, the curtains are opened and closed by a button on the wall. But it wasn't working. After the annoying bright lights shining in our windows all night followed by the sun in the morning, we asked to be moved to another room. That room didn't have a functioning AC, which made it super uncomfortable. The hotel staff kept saying they would move us again, but they never did even after I got quite agitated after the third night. They kept sending someone to "fix" the AC, but it never got fixed.

The safe didn't work, the sofa bed is terribly uncomfortable, and they made us pay up front rather than upon check out. Makes me think they knew there were problems with some (all?) of their rooms. Also, this is not full service, so don't expect help from a concierge or hotel employee in purchasing tickets to local performances. You're on your own, pal!

I would stay elsewhere. You can get a much better (and structurally safer) hotel by paying maybe just a but more.

Room Tip: Pay slightly more to stay elsewhere.

Hotel is modern, well appointed, comfortable and offers all the conveniences of fine business or leisure boutique hotel. Friendly reception staff especially Suzette, Luis and Stephany are always helpful, professional and very willing to please each guest. This full service hotel is conveniently located in Col. Napoles and is truly a secure oasis in this busy city. Excellent value - a very comfortable room and amenities!

Room Tip: Room 402 exceeded my expectations - a very comfortable bed and no noticeable outside noise!
