If you need to be near the airport this is the place to stay. nice bar with live music, business info office and very helpful staff. Rooms as you would expect of a good hotel in one of the great cities of the world.

I spent a bit over a week at the Camino Real for business and I cannot say enough good things about it. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are huge, modern, clean, and well designed. It is in a excellent location. Prior to traveling I was initially concerned about safety in the area, but upon arrival my concerns were immediately and completely put to rest. On our free time we ventured out in the area for food and to take in the sights and always felt very comfortable. The staff was very courteous and always ready to help. The only one minor negative I have is that the morning breakfast buffet was approximately $22 USD. I was an excellent spread, but still a little pricey. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will be staying here during my next business trip.

I have stayed at Camino Real quite a few times and the experience has always been very good. It was built in 1968, but keeps impeccable. You may not know it was built by two of the most famous Mexican architects, Luis Barragan and Ricardo Legorreta. The building is magnificent. The lobby has a huge and beautiful Tamayo mural. It has indoor and outdoor fountains and several Mexican patios. It is rather horizontal (two or three floors only) making it more convenient in case of an earthquake emergency. Guards are a lll over, making it a very safe place also. Service is very friendly. La Huerta restaurant offers quick buffets for breakfast and lunch. It is not inexpensive, but the quality and variety of food is very good. Checkin and checkout are fast, considering it has more than 700 rooms. Taxi drivers are very friendly also.

Room Tip: I like first floor rooms since some of them have direct access to the hotel patios.

This hotel is extremely nice with its Mexican deco and helpful staff, it's worth every penny. Just a little detail which surprised me... Besides the pricy room, we have to add parking which is normal in Mexico City specially in that district, but Internet has also an extra cost, per day!!!! Ridiculous! I was very disappointed and will not stay on this hotel anymore on my business trips, when Internet is a need for me...

I was very impressed by the size of the hotel when we arrived by cab. The check in was quick and staff very courteous.

There are 7 restaurants with one very cool bar over a water floor. It's a floating platform. The price is strap but you are in the best neighborhood in town. 175$ USD a night.

I was disappointed by the room which clearly streams late 90s.... The room was very clean and the room service was good.

I ordered breakfast twice and it was served quickly and the fruit plate was deliciously fresh and good portion for the price.

The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet (3122)

Lastly, it is a bit far from cool restaurants in the neighborhood and would require a cab rather than being able to walk. ( for safety and for ladies with heels)

I stayed at the hotel for 4 days for a business trip and what can I say, the hotel is very spacious my room was a short distance to the gym, reception and various restaurants. The restaurants and cafe's provided plenty of choice and one was 24 hour. The cost wasn't the cheapest but the quality of the food, choice and service level was added value enough. The room was well equipped, clean and well maintained. The turn down service was an added touch.
It is within easy walking distance of many downtown restaurants and shops
The only downside was that the wifi was expensive £10 (130 pesos) per day, considering the cost of rooms this could very easily be absorbed.
Thank you for a great stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near to reception.

The hotel is not in the cheap end neither concerning the price of the rooms or the food, if you consider the general price level, but it is worth every penny. Great and courteous service, very good food (but hey, this is Mexico) and spacious and clean rooms.

The pool area is large with a heated pool (rather hot, actually, almost like a bathtub) and a nice place to get a good breakfast with for example chilaquiles and freshly squeezed orange juice.

The hotel has four or five restaurants with a price level well above the surrounding city's many food places, but the atmosphere and quality seems very good as well. An alternative to eating there is also going a little further down the street and turn left on Tolstoi and eat at the amazingly good and cheap mexican restaurant Los Panchos.
