This place is like a little gem of authenticity in this area. Of all the places I tried in Zona Rosa this is one of the best if you really want to try authentic mexican food. Many of the other restaurants are very americanized or try to copy the american style which is understandable given that fact the area caters to tourists. But if you want a taste of authentic food then I say give Carmencita a try. The menu reflects what a typical mexican household would have: mole, consome, enchiladas, scrambled eggs, etc. and the prices are VERY affordable. The service is also very good, the lady was really sweet. Word of advice: It can get crowded on Sundays since it is a day in which many people don't work, so be ready to wait it out a little bit.

The daily specials are incredible. Soup, main course, dessert, and beer for less than 10 USD, Plus baskets of hot just made tortillas. Much better than all the fancier places around it. Eat here!

...but was actually the worst food I ever ate in Mexico so far. Quesadillas took forever to be made and the Enchiladas weren't even worth being mentioned. Around the corner is a simple taqueria called La Palmera that had fine tacoas al pastor that helped me out way more.

Traditional Mexican food at it's best! We came her a lot. Friday evening there was a waiting list just to get a table. Service is fast and great! Had the posole after a rainy day and hit the spot. We had the chilaquiles for breakfast. Portions are good. We paid about $15 USD for dinner for two (total) and $10 for breakfast. Amazing!

Beatricita offers traditional Mexican food, mouth-watering quality at reasonable prices and the experience of a century old and renown taquería. It doesn't get a lot better than that. Beatricita offers a historical culinary experience that safekeeps the Mexican tradition. A museum for your tastebuds
