“Great hotel for business needs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2011

I came for a week of meetings with 600 participants and the conference center is perfect for business needs. Large meeting rooms and good service. I ordered a Deluxe King room and was upgraded to a great suite (Room 1001). The restaurants in the hotel are of high quality. The location of the hotel is very convenient next to the historical center. There is good public transportation in the area. The prices can't be beat for this standing of hotel in a large city. If I were coming to Mexico City on holiday, however, I might want a smaller more local boutique style hotel rather than a large international hotel.

My husband and I have been to Mexico City four times over the last decade, and every time our experience has been better. The value at this Hilton is amazing: I have always snickered at my husband for joining those points clubs, but the Hilton proved him right (please, don't tell him). We were received in the executive suites reception area, and for a very reasonable price, we received welcome drinks accompanied by fruit and cheese plate, happy hour with a very complete buffet, and an elaborate spread for breakfast in the morning. Everyone at the hotel was charming. Our room had a king sized bed and, because the Hilton is one of the taller buildings around, a glorious view of the city. Just an aside: the mayor of Mexico has instituted a whole host of pollution control strategies, including bicycle riding days on Sundays and minor driving restrictions. The results are that you can breathe in the city, you can see the volcanoes, you can take in the landscape. Be aware: this Hilton used to be a Sheraton, in case your taxi driver draws a blank.

I have been a Hilton Honors Member for over 10 years, traveling on a weekly basis all over the world. The Hilton Mexico City is not only a lovely building located in the most lively part of downtown Mexico City, surrounded by history and art, the team that manages this hotel, from the doorman to the housekeeping crew are outstanding in their service.
Our visits to this hotel have been remarkable. We do not go there only for business, my sister is awaiting for a kidney transplant and visits the city for medical reasons. The executive floor team adopted her! From heating her dialysis bags to preparing special meals for her, always ahead of our needs, with joy and sincerity. We are grateful we have them as part of our support system. THANKS GUYS!!!!

I spent Easter weekend in Mexico city for a short vacation.

The Hilton is currently undergoing renovation work outside, but this did not cause too much inconvenience. It is a 20 minute walk to the Centro Historico area with many shops and restaurants nearby.

I cannot fault the Hilton at all for the level of comfort. I was on the 24th or 25th floor, providing an exceptional view of the city. The bed and WC were clean and the room very spacious. The water is supposed to be filtered, but I brought my own bottled water just to be safe.

Unfortunately, everything costs extra. I have already complained about the high cost of WiFi at many chains, but M$ 180 per night is clearly an exaggeration. I booked this hotel expecting the Internet to be included in the price as it was described in the room details, but obviously it wasn't. In effect, the cost of internet is viewed by many hotels as part of the daily room rate. At least though hot water and cable TV were did not incur extra fees at this hotel.

Nice hotel, downtown. Nextdoor to my office. Restaurants are very fine. The one in the lobby is crowded for breakfast. Executive floor is nice too.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review.
I'm happy to read that the hotel was next door to your office .
The location of the hotel is one of our biggest assests not only walking distance to the historical buildings and museums in downtown but also to corporate buildings.
On the first floor of the hotel "Los Dones" Restaurant it is a very good choice for breakfast and "La Terraza" restaurant on the 6th flloor where you may enjoy our fine selection of international cuisine.
I wish next time you come to your office in Mexico City you give us the opportunity to serve you again.

it's a modern high rise building located almost in front of the famous Palacio de Bellas Artes. I've stayed at this hotel a few times, even since it was a Sheraton. The location is fantastic if you want to visit the Historic Center, however it can be somewhat loud outside all day long, however the hotel has sound-proof windows and you'll have a good rest. Unfortunatelly they don't have self-parking, so you'll need a valet every time you need you car. The rooms are very comfy with big space for yourself. The bed and pillows are very good as well. The A/C is quiet and works perfectly. I might be somewhat pricey but it worth staying.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your comment.
The hotel has many assets, but definatelly we are very fortunate to have a privilege location, walking distance to the most important historical buildings and museums in downtown Mexico City. Our spacious rooms have been remodeled with beautiful decor , also the confortable "sweet dreams" by Hilton beds and the down pillow are specially made for the comfort of our guests.
At Hilton Mexico City Reforma, we want our guests to have their best experince ever.
We hope next time you come to Mexico City you give us the opportunity to serve you.

We stayed at this hotel for sightseeing, and it was convenient to a couple of metro lines which made it easy to get to the things we wanted to see. It was right across the street from the Alameda Park, and a short-to-medium walk from the Zocalo.

We mostly ate out and about, but we ate Sunday brunch in the hotel's downstairs restaurant, and that was a very nice meal.

I'm very happy to read that you enjoyed your time while visiting Mexico City.
Having a perfect location in the middle of downtown makes it easier to visit many historical places by foot.
Also, I'm glad you had an opportunity to tried our wonderful Sunday Brunch which is one of the best in the city.
We hope next time you come to Mexico City you will give us the opportunity to serve you again at the Hilton Mexico City Refoma.
