Stayed here for 3 days. Front desk folks and cockeyed every helpful. Decent restaurants inside. Rooms were spacious. Walking on the main street for a bit was easy although I was warned to stay on the main road. Large bar area with nice video boards. The only negative was the bed frame. Stubbed my toe a couple times as it protrudes from the mattress. I'm sure a lot folks have this issue. It's still a 40 minute drained to the airport.

It was my first time in Mexico City and the experience was quite overwhelming. Being one of the biggest cities in the world, there's a lot of impressions to take in. I stayed at the Hilton for a week and I must say it was a great place to call "home" in the midst of all the noise and traffic and crowds of people. I got a room on the 19th floor and the view was great. The room was spacious and very well equipped. Although there is so much traffic, there was no noise issue in the room. The service was also really good, everyone was really friendly and the room was clean. The breakfast buffet was really, really good and the restaurant by the entrance on the lobby floor was excellent! The only complaint I have is the temperature in the restaurant on the first floor. Way to cold! Other than that, excellent!

Room Tip: High floor for best view!

This is an awesome hotel. My room was very clean, the staff were friendly, the check-in process was fast and the complementary breakfast was very good. I never ate lunch or dinner in the hotel so I can’t comment on that. The gym was excellent. The hotel is centrally located with numerous taxis and Ubers in the area.

A general comment about Mexico City - the best way to describe it is: New York City on crack! Wow, what an awesome, crazy place!

I wanted to write this review from an "IMO" standpoint, I do a lot of traveling, staying at Hilton properties from the smallest towns to the biggest cities in the USA & Canada. My travel is mainly for business, but a few times a year we travel to somewhere outside of the ordinary utilizing Hilton properties for our journey.

I am not an avid "seasoned" expert traveler like so many that post on these review boards claim to be, I have not scaled Mt. Everest on a Sunday morning before football starts at noon, I have not run the Appalachian Trail barefoot in 3 days or swam with the Beluga Whales in the warm Artic waters. However, I feel that I have an above average feel for hospitability, food, service and entertainment. We travel "cost consciously" but we are not going to risk saving $5-$10 USD on something that may end in a bad experience. I write this review on our experience at the Hilton Reforma Mexico City and some of the experiences we had around the hotel on our first trip to Mexico City, all while speaking 0 Spanish.

I will start with one of the many excellent experiences we had while staying at the Hilton Reforma Mexico City.

I called the Hilton Mexico City Reforma and the front desk answered in Spanish, I was thinking, "Oh oh, what now?" I started to speak in English and the guest services agent on the other end very politely responded in very good English "How may I help you?" Phew! Positive experience #1! I inquired about a ride from the airport to the Hilton, the Hilton provides a car service from the airport to the Hotel for 900 MXN, no brainer for us on our first trip to CDMX.

Immigration when you arrive in Mexico City is a breeze, we originally filled out our immigration paperwork beforehand online, but when we arrived we were greeted by some very helpful airport staff who gave us new forms to fill out (do not loose the 1/2 of the form they give back) we were through immigration in 30 minutes and due to the fact we did not have checked bags, we were past immigration and into the main terminal of Benito Juárez International Airport in no time, the driver was waiting outside of immigration with a sign with our name on it and spoke English, on the way to the hotel he happily answered a barrage of questions from us which put us at ease driving to the hotel through a maze of cars, people and buildings.

Hilton Mexico City Reforma - We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by several hotel employees all very helpful and got us checked in with no issues at all, questions were promptly addressed in English in a very helpful manner. The hotel is at the top of the top when it comes to Hilton properties (IMO), very clean, lots of staff helping, helpful concierge as well as what a presume are Hilton security officers in the lobby, making sure the lobby stays filled with guests, not outside traffic. The room was spotless, the bathroom was as clean as clean gets and the bed was very comfortable, with a great view!

There is a great bar in the lobby, a good place to get your bearings when you need a break from the mad rush of the streets surrounding the hotel, there is a Mexican restaurant that is very good on the lobby level, the 1st floor restaurant offers a great menu and an all you can eat desert bar which cuts the life of your enamel coating on your teeth in ½. We were in CDMX on Thanksgiving and they offered an extremely good American style Thanksgiving meal which was a nice treat for us. The 6th floor restaurant is very nice as well, they are open for breakfast and lunch which offers a secluded place to enjoy some sun on the same floor as the outdoor lounge areas, spa, gym and pools. For those travelers that can capitalize on Hilton Diamond Rewards, the Executive Lounge offers a great place to get away and enjoy another great option for breakfast and happy hour snacks, we also found that there were a lot of other travelers like us from the USA, Canada and Europe, it was a great place to ask questions and share experiences of CDMX. The gym is a very clean and up to date, the spa is on the same floor and offers the services that any spa would, we utilized the spa our last day there and it was an experience that we will never forget, clean, friendly and professional!

Hilton Mexico City Reforma Surrounding Area - When it comes to safety, use common sense! There are places here in Texas we would not go during the day, it is extremely safe in and around the hotel!

CDMX is really welcoming foreigners to the city, there was a very heavy police presence in and around the 4-5 blocks surrounding the hotel, keep your cash, cell phone and valuables in your front pockets, don't wear flashy jewelry or try to stand out. Don't go down streets that make you say "Hmmm I don't know, looks kind of sketchy" We stayed within 4-5 blocks of the hotel and enjoyed ourselves during the day and at night not once feeling unsafe or out of place. Smile and be friendly and of course use common sense!

Shopping - There are lots of street side vendors and markets around the city close to the hotel, this is something that some simple exploring will allow you to experience. Use Google Translate to help you communicate, but for the most part someone in the area or store speaks English and is more than willing to help, keep in mind that the tourism industry is what puts the food on a-lot of these vendor tables so they are very welcoming to foreigners, but as any transaction, keep your wits about you! Down the street from the hotel is an area that has tons of shopping, bars and restaurants, very busy, but also very safe, once again, remember to keep your wits about you! The Park across the street was safe and well-lit at night, it offers a good place to just soak it all in, enjoy some fresh air and formulate a plan for your day.

Food - We tried to drink bottled water as much as we could but had no concerns of the mixed drinks or ice while enjoying the cuisine of CDMX, and yes we made it out unscathed. There are tons of little street side vendors that offer a variety of food that makes gives you a taste of CDMX, there are restaurants of every style, some native to Mexico and some foreign in and around the hotel. If you want a great Mojito or drink, head across the street to La Azotea, an awesome rooftop bar overlooking the park that offers food and drink

VEGAN Food - There is an abundance of Vegan food in CDMX, we took the Hilton provided car service south from the hotel over to Por Siempre Vegana in Roma, to experience a very top notch vegan sandwich. AKARMA Vegan Burger and Pizza also offers a very strict Vegan menu, on top of all this, there are lots of Italian, Mexican and a few sushi restaurants all offer vegan food close to the hotel.

Our experience to the Hilton Mexico City Reforma was fantastic and we will return again when time permits, I can't say enough good things about the staff, area and hospitality it offered!

Once again back to the beginning, this is an IMO review!

Can’t say much about the city, every day there was a different demonstration - so didn’t get out much (lot’s of policemen and heavy traffic).
But the hotel was great !
As a HHonors member, was cleared for the lounge, great breakfast and the afternoon drinks and food, way above average.
Great fitness facilities, good pool and spa. Very good hotel that offers lots of things to do if you get “stuck” in for 4/5 days.
