“nh T2 Aeropuerto Mexico City”
Reviewed 6 March 2013

Conveniently located hotel at Mexico City Airport. Very poorly lit and deserted common areas.
Pool is not heated (which it needs to be at that altitutde, and at an allegedly 5 star hotel.) or lit at night. Pool also closes early and opens late which is of little use to transit travellers. We booked a 1 bedroom suite for a family of five including 2 double beds and a sleeper couch. We were given 1 king bed and 2 camp beds. In the end 2 kids slept on the couches which were more comfortable than the camp beds. 1 had to make do with a camp bed. Kerbstone pillows are provided so do not expect to sleep, especially with the poor soundproofing. The concierge did not respond to a call for an airport baggage trolley at 4 am when we had to leave. We had asked for one to be stored for us the previous night. Rooms are very expensive and so is the restaurant. Overall experience was far from 5 star (as the hotel is billed), and is beaten hands down by Motel 6. Fortunately one can walk to the concourse to get food. Free transit (not provided by the hotel) to T1 starts at about 5.30 am otherwise one must get a cab between terminals.

Room Tip: Go to the Hotel Camino Real, across the road

A great modern airport hotel directly connected to T2, just a couple of minutes stroll from hotel reception to airline check in. Staff at check in and check out were efficient and helpful. The lobby was spacious with plenty of seating. I had a Large modern room overlooking a lawn. Everything was spotlessly clean and worked. Ideal hotel between flights.

In between connecting flights we had to stay overnight at Mexico City Airport. Since our flight was leaving from T2 We choose for the NH T2 Hotel, which is directly connected with the terminal. The Check In and out where effiicient, the staff friendly. The room has all the amenities one can expect from a four star hotel, everything was in perfect working order. The room and bathroom where clean. The bathroom was OK as well but nothing special. The bed was excellent. The airco made the usual amount of sound but was on the low side of the noise spectrum. The curtains darkened the room very well.

free WiFi in the Lobby which was fast.

The Best Thing: the soundproofing of the hotel is excellent. NO external and internalnoise or sound could be heard, had an excellent sleep.

We used the restarant for breakfast. this was a breakfast buffet (not included in the room price) which was average. The staff here was friendly, but not very efficient.

They have not got it together yet, must be or may be quite new. Having travelled for 11 hours we stood on pavement waiting for small bus lift to hotel. We had booked it from England, checked booking and emailed at last minute to ensure they had it booked. What more can you do?
At first we just thought we should be patient, were we in the wrong place? So we checked our paperwork and it was quite clear where we should be waiting.
We waited forty mins, quite tired, mobile not working unfortunately, and in the end we had to approach someone and ask to borrow their phone.
The hotel's response to our call was that they had no record of our arrival etc. etc.!
In the end it was an hour later we were picked up.
Rooms clean and all there you would need, but no hot water for that longed for bath! I really hate wasting water leaving it to run in case it had to come a long way but it never got hot.

This is really a near five star review---please see my minor gripes below.

I had a late flight into Mexico City and was catching a bus to San Miguel de Allende the next day so booked a night at this hotel which is in the terminal served by Aeromexico arrivals. I opted to spend a little more rather than wasting precious sleep time on shuttles.

The hotel was modern, comfortable and well appointed. It has a space-agey design as is evident from the pictures. My room overlooked the circular courtyard.

Breakfast was amazing. Highlights included Coffee from an espresso machine made by the cup, high quality smoked salmon, a very large variety of fresh fruits, fresh squeezed juices including (a first for me) kiwi, a large variety of pastries.

There was absolutely no noise in my room. There is a small gym with state of the art equipment. There is free wifi and no code to enter. The staff was polite but not intrusive. There are a number of lounges.

I am giving four rather than five stars because the pool wasn't heated, it cost extra to use the sauna (but on the positive side I was given a pitcher of water and I had the whole sauna to myself), and the mini bar was locked.

Room Tip: 2021 was great

Got a room for 3/4 hours, for 100$. Quite expensive, but modern, clean, nice. Great location.

We went past the security point before realizing, that it was back on the other side. No problem, just asked a security woman and went out. Got some long needed sleep. Dont think there is any other place to relax at t2 without being an aeromexico gold member or something, to go in their lounce. The terminal is pretty noisy, with hard chairs.

We stayed here on Christmas eve because we had a stopover between the 2 aeromexico flights. The hotel is accessed from the concourse of terminal 2 by 3 dedicated elevators (no ground transport required ) and is a 3 minute walk from arrivals / departures in terminal 2.

From Terminal 1 there is a free monorail that runs between the terminals.

The hotel is not that cheap compared to other airport hotel, but when compared with the fact that you dont need to pay for ground transport / wait for a courtesy bus, then the time & cost saved makes this hotel a very attractive option especially for Terminal 2.

We didnt have breakfast here, as there are a number of restaurants - Wings, and bar restaurants and Starbucks in the arrivals & departures area of terminal 2 which is about a 3 minute walk from the elevator that takes you to the hotel. There are also a 4 restaurants and a Starbucks airside as well.

Keep an eye on the NH website for special offers that can reduce the cost of a stay here.
