One of the worst art collections in Mexico. This museum has no theme, style, or even curatorial idea.

Loved the outside and the area. When inside i was a bit disappointed. Not about the collection in it self but the way it was all presented. There is no natural flow to look at things and you go like a ping pong ball to each ting and back. This museum needs a better curator as i think the one who did this was a bit schizophrenic, no order and the grouping was done all wrong. It could have been so nice but it looks like a jumble sale display

I like the construction, it seems like a jewel box. It was designed by Fernando Romero who took the ideas of Carlos Slim (one of the world's richest man).

As for the museum's content, we have to take into consideration that the museum is part of Mr. Slim's private collection of coins, paintings, statues, ivory piecesand so on. For me the most interesting areas were the paintings, where you can find a wide variety of famous artists, and of course the sculptures that are on the top floor. If you come from a country where you can have acces to enjoy paintings and sculptures of renown artists, or you are staying in Mexico City for a short time, I will suggest that you pass by the museum, take a picture and visit the Anthropology Museum or Templo Mayor Museum.
