Great to see Mexico City from so high up! It wasn´t expensive to take the elevator up. If you leave your wristband on, you can return later on the same day. That´s ideal if you like to take pictures in the morning and in the evening.

We went up in the morning, before 10 AM, it wasn´t that cloudy, we had a good view. The windows were being cleaned from the outside while we were there, unbelievable that the window cleaner was just connected to a simple rope.

You can get to the plattform on the 44th floor (one level up that has no windows) only by using the stairs.

It makes sense to go there, once you have visited a few sights in Mexico City, then you can better allocate where everything is. The museum was allright, but definitely not worth and shouldn´t be the reason to go up.

To sum up: I can definitely recommend going up there in the morning.

A great view of Mexico City and the "Centro Historico"; located in the hearth of town and with for about $6 you can get to the roof, buy some souvenirs and if the sky in clear enough a great view of the town... you can take a little tour by a small museum in the tower too; and there are many other places to visit near the Torre Latino, so if you like to walk Down town Mexico is a nice place for you

One of the best view of CENTRO Historico available for tourists. So to get to the roof they charge you $70 pesos per nose. You will find a decay version of what any other tower or hi spot on any city. Overpriced low tech telescopes. Coin press for souvenir. Small tower replicas. And the View. Which is much better enjoyed AFTER walking around for a few days in the area. The good advise is mention "Miralto" to the elevator crew. That is the name of a restaurant bar in the roof -1 top floor. Food is not great, but they have a smoking martini bar quite nice and tranquil. Invest a $50 on a beer or a scotch and have the same confortable view than the crowds up.

With Mexico City being such a flat city, you don't have to go so high to get a panorama of it all, but Torre is still worth it. Go at dusk if possible when the sun's setting, the lights are being turned on everywhere, and there isn't as much smog. You may even get a glimpse of Popo the volcano and its snow capped peak if it's clear enough. The worst part is the building. It really needs some help. The many of the other skyscrapers in the city are in much better order and a building as historic as this is deserving of the same. But don't let that deter you from going, it's a nice experience and shouldn't be missed.

Go at twilight and instead of paying 70 pesos per person just to go up to the top, eat at the very nice restaurant on the 41st floor, and your trip up is FREE. The prices are surprisingly reasonable (although you can spend more if you order certain dishes) and we got right in even on a Saturday evening.

This will be one of your most amazing dining experiences ever, especially in regards to the view and overall feeling of being there. They even had nice piano music after 8pm- I don't know if that is every night or just on weekends. You are going here for the atmosphere, not the food, but with that said the meals were decent- with a very large selection.

Keep in mind the one obvious thing here: if it is an extremely smoggy day (not uncommon for here) your experience will not be as memorable.
