“Not nice, not clean but friendly staff.dated,old,loud.if you can go somewhere nicer”

Dated,noisy,not clean...
I stayed right now for 5 days in this hotel. No idea really where to start. I got it cheap so i should not be to choosy i guess. I was too cheap to pay the 300 us per night at the hilton so this is what you get for being cheap:) .
Rooms: big, kind of cozy but not clean. Kind of filthy.carpets really dirty. yukkkk.dirty.walls need paint desperately. New lcd tv with lots of channels, also in english and german.
Already have been in worse places .
Bed: queenn, very ,very hard. Sheets only every 3 days.mmm....
Bathroom: sooooo dated. Like 1970. Shower and retro blue tiles.the sad thing is this is not retro, just remained.lol
Kitchen: free water, microwaves, free coffee.so far so good
Aircondition. Bahhh, either cold, windy and noisy ,wow like in a airport hangar, or not working at all.
Decoration.forgeddaboudid .....like all the stuff someone hated and placed in a rental apartment for cheap tourists :) well.....not so far away from the truth Lol....
Smoking: although prohiited some other guests smoke in their rooms and all that terrible smell floats into your room.. I hated that sooooo much. Disgusting!
Location: just 50 yards from the angel but pretty far from metro insurgentes.
If you like nightlife and you are gay the zona rosa is 300 meters away....
Never saw so many males kissing ....not my cup of tea but well whatever makes you happy fellows.
Would not choose this location with children, really not.
Oxxo supermmarket in front .
Wifi: sooooo slow.....took 2 days to send 30 picture messages. Not really helpful.
Staff: the only positive thing so far: helpful and really friendly. The reason for my 3 stars is the staff.i would relentlessly recur to 1.5 stars.like that 2.5 stars.
Resuming: at a good price (like 55 us) worth it.not 1 cent more.
Would not come back thanks to the smoke and the noise from the street. Honking cars at 5 in the morning is bothering me :) you can not sleep anyway..have fun all the same.mexico is a great place to be!

Room Tip: Far from the elevators, far from smokers.....

You cannot beat the location, and unless you are looking for US type luxury, this place is great. For $55 a night we got a small suite (with kitchenette), a table, couch, and bed. There was plenty of room - and as you will see the views were fantasitc!
The bed was pretty darn hard, but world travelling has surprises. We slept fine.
The best thing is a VERY safe neighborhood, VERY close to most of what you will want to see in Mexico City, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
There are SO many great restaurants down the street - that is nice too!

Let me first say that you cant get a hotel in a better location than this for the same budget. The indpendence square (circle) in just 100 yards away. The hop on hop off bus stops there. Museums like anthropology and the zoo etc are a pleasant 30-40 mins walk. The no. of restaurants on either side of the hotel are many. Dont miss out on the cuban restaurant 4 doors away - Fantastic latino music and priced food!
Coming to the hotel room - one thing or the other keeps konking off. In fact when I leaned on the bathroom wall the tiles caved in. If the taps are working the toilet doesnt. If the lights are working the airconditioner doesnt!!
The restaurant doesnt understand concept of vegetarian. Even in breakfast only non vegetarian dishes were available. The saving grace is the fantastic staff at the reception. They answer all queries patiently and with a smile - goldmine of local information.
If only the management would spend some money on the rooms this hotel could go places!!

Room Tip: Take a room on 7,8 or 9th floors. It is quieter and you will sleep better.

Well located, fair price, nice rooms, lots of space. Wifi works.
Nice refuge in DF's hectic environment. In the morning or for afternoons you can seat in the adjacent restaurant - El Mexicano - and enjoy a drink, a nice breakfast, beautiful people, a good meal and - yes, it's true- good old flat screen TVs always passing the latest football matches

The street is one of the good places to dine out with plenty of good restaurants 50m away, and with different cuisines

A place to return

Friendly staff who offers to guard your luggage (we went to taxco for one night and could leave our bags until we came back next day to check in again -free). Excellent location, easy to walk around the zona Rosa with shops and restaurants and to the park. Hotel was good but for only a little bit more you can get a five star hotel like galeria plaza reforme with roof terrace and pool so with that in mind I think the standard could have been a little bit better. The hotel feels a bit "old". But offers kitchenett so have microwave and free wifi that was great!

The bedrooms was nice and big but the bathroom felt a little bit old, and the hotel could really use a touch up if the want to keep calling themselves a four star hotel.. 3 would probably be more honest and realistic as they probably were a four star when it was new but now maybe not so much...

This is a very well located hotel near Chapultepec, Museum of Anthropology, Museum of Modern Art, Museum Rufino Tamayo as well to Reforma 222. Booked it because it was cheaper than others in the same area.
Pros:
Location
Lots of Restaurants nearby.
Cons:
Very noisy street
Air Conditioner barely working
Bed

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the upper floors to avoid noise. Nothing below 6th floor.
