Would have given 5 stars but breakfast was a but chaotic and the choice was repetitive and lacked variety. I'd definitely stay again as besides that it was a.great allegiance with efficient staff and great location and room facilities

We went to the outdoor restaurant for dinner Sunday night and were astounding at the gorgeous view of the city, the mountains and the Cathedral and Zocalo. Our meals and wine excellent and the service even more so. We shall return! What a fun place to eat outside!

The room was very small, the walls are very thin and the square outside is very noisy. All of this being said I still give the hotel 4 stars based on it value and the fact that it is centrally located. Luckily for me, my neighbors and the downtown quiet down in the evening and I had no problem sleeping.

As a business traveler I must note that the desk area was very small, but workable. I really did enjoy the location, I was able to walk around downtown after work and go to some great restaurants after work. Most notably, El Cardinal was located on the block behind the hotel.

The hotel restaurant was mediocre but the view was fantastic. At least go up for drink and bring your camera.

I have stayed here several times and always found it a great hotel. This is not at all like a Holiday Inn you will find in the US!

Amazing rooftop views. (Best suited for coffee or a nightcap as the restaurant is average)
Central location right on the zocalo (Main square)
Perhaps the best customer service I have experiences at ANY hotel world-wide.
Clean and artistically appointed.

The only con is that the Centro Historico is a dead at night. Fear not, sinply have the front desl call you a taxi to go to Roma/Condesa/Polanco or Coyocan.

Room Tip: If you want to sleep during the day, do NOT choose a room looking out on the Zocalo. However, the sq...

The room was very spacious and nicely furnished. The view of the Zocalo was a definite plus. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a occupy-style event at the square, so our taxi couldn't get to the hotel, but the staff came to meet us (and carry our luggage) two streets away.

Service at is hotel was unexpectedly excellent, from the quick and warm reception, to the friendly maids we passed in the hallway, to the bellboy who fixed the printer for me in the business center. Upon arrival we were given tickets for two free drinks at the lobby cafe and asked what time we would like fresh juice delivered to our room the next morning. The concierge called twice to see if he could help with anything - once as we were settling into the room and once shortly after our juice was delivered. The street in front of the hotel was closed to traffic due to camped out teachers in the city to protest, so when we needed a cab to take us to the airport they arranged for a cab to meet us on the next corner. One of the bellboys carried our bags down the block for us, without us asking, which I found incredibly thoughtful. Everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and we didn't notice any street noise (at least, none more than we're used to at home). WiFi was a bit slow, but nothing unmanageable for the average user.

The biggest downside was the size of the room - TINY. We stayed in a standard room, which was quite tight if we both tried to move around at once, but ok so long as one of us was in the bed, which was also the only real seating option. It was fine for us, as we were using it as a crash pad during a packed 24 hours in the city. The location is excellent - great both for walking and catching the metro (and if neither is your style, see the aforementioned about arranging a cab). Even with the protest camp out front, we felt perfectly safe coming back to the hotel at night.

In short, I would absolutely go there again for short stays with my husband and would very highly recommend it to anyone in a similar situation, but I wouldn't recommend it for long stays or trips with friends or a larger family.

The only walking street of Mexico City is on the next lane of the hotel . The vicinity of the hotel has got national palace ex presidential house , historical church & good restaurant sanburns .
